Thanks Grampa. RIP.

I owe everybody a drink. Sig Severson, 1918-2006. Parents came over on the boat, didn't speak any English 'til he was 12 . Did what ever he had to do to raise a happy healthy family in Iowa. Incredible sense of humor. Loved to fish and tell lies.

I'll miss him.

RIP Grampa. Lost my Norwegian Gramps over a decade ago. Yours must have been 90+ right?

I'm actually pretty good. I just didn't see the years posted. Heh.

My own Gramps was 78 when he died. He'd have been nearly 90 today. BC is several years older than me, so I made an assumption. Heh.

Sounds like he lived his life right and now the time has come for him to move on.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

You, however, can ship me that drink.

Heading up your way Rob. Funeral in Larchwood, IA. Probably staying in Sioux Falls.

My mom was the second oldest of six, and I am my mom's oldest, so Sig was 43 when I was born, same age I'll be later this year.

I'd join you in a drink, but I didn't read this until now. My employer frowns upon showing up to work with liquor on the breath. 88 years is a pretty good run. Sounds like he made his run better than most.
