True. The two teams have went in complete opposite directions from that point, though. Quite amazing, actually.

Hopefully it was a massive wake-up call.

Appears to have been.

I find it peculiar. They beat us, and really should have taken off on the shoulders of Thomas Gardner. I really thought Mizzou would go off and win several in a row... they looked really good against us.

coming back down 9 with 1:51... down 7 with under :50 That was a great game.

Im surprised that Baylor smoked them 90-64. unreal.

Unless Gardner has an insanely good game, MU will lose games. They simply do not have ANY scorers besides Gardner, who is overrated IMO. The guy shoots the ball every time he touches it. McKinney could have been a hell of a player for Mizzou if Quin had a ****in point guard that is worth a damn. Mizzou will live and die by the 3 point shot as long as Quin Snyder is the coach. Mike Alden (the Carl Peterson of Columbia) has to fire him after the season. But who knows, he did give Stinkle a new contract so who knows what the hell is gonna happen.

Damn, crushed by Baylor. Talk about lowest of the lows. KU lost to these guys?

At home yes..but we definately screwed up at MU.Records dont mean much when it's MU vs. KU. We've beaten you when we sucked before, and we will again. I'd just rather not suck.

Quin = lame duck
Dam, I wish UMKC could get another crack at 'em. We'd prolly only lose by 10 or so this time... :)

UMKC has been sucking lately too. They also have a player who shoots every time he touches the ball and a coach who has the weirdest subbing patterns EVER.

Isn't it funny how the 2 teams that beat KU have since lost to previously winless Baylor? :shake: It's as if their wins over a very young and inexperienced KU squad made their seasons and they stopped trying as hard after that.

MU is just getting their ass kicked.

K-State is just choking. 4 point loss @CU. 2 point OT loss @Baylor. 2 point loss vs OSU. It's very frustrating. It's usually the same story every time. We get down big on the road, only to come back, and then piss down our legs..or we build a big lead at home, only to blow it.

I don't think that's the case. I think K-State's win in Lawrence was HUGE for them, don't get me wrong. But, let's be honest, they weren't that great to begin with. Somewhat talented, but poorly coached. You could see their collapse coming. Some, including myself, may have been naive to it all, especially after the KU win, but the writing was on the wall.

I do think the KU game was a big win for MU, but it ended up being more costly than it was worth I think. I don't think the win made their season and they quit playing, but I think the win put the whole season on Thomas Gardner's shoulders. Less than a week after the KU win, playing in a close game in Manhattan, Gardner was off (fairly well defended, I might add) and MU couldn't get it going at all. Their whole offense was now revolving around a guy who couldn't make a shot to save his life. Nobody was confident with the ball in their hands to take a big shot down the stretch.

I think that's carried over. Not to mention, especially lately, the team knows it's over. Quin knows it's over. Now there's no use trying to win games in Baylor...or any where else for that matter.

I hope that is true. I'd love to see the Cats remain undefeated at the Paige.

A win sunday would also give the Cats the edge in the all time series, and 4 in a row over the Slavers.

I'd like to see that happen, too. I'm convinced it will turn out just like every other winnable road game for the Cats in the last X years, though.

If something falls KUs way, and then KU beats Texas, I wont have a care in the world that MU and KSU won those games. KU fans usually think of the bigger picture.

Going to the Bram tonight?

It will be a winnable home game; at least a 50-50 chance with these.

Yep. I like Elgas. It'll be interesting to see how he handles this. Also, wouldn't miss the jersey retirement ceremony for the world. Lon Kruger, Chuckie Williams, and Mike Evans.

Question...do you know where the mens basketball office is?

It's in Bramlage on the south side. You can access it just walking around the concourse...should be a sign on or beside the door...walk in, down the hall and the secretary's desk is right there.
