Snyder says he won't resign

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Missouri coach Quin Snyder says he has not been asked to resign, and he doesn't plan to.
Snyder is coming under heat as the Tigers have a six-game losing
streak heading into Sunday's home game against Kansas State. All of
the losses have been by double digits, dropping Missouri's record
under .500 at 10-and-11.
Speaking to reporters today before practice, Snyder says he
can't worry about what the future holds. He has two years remaining
on his contract.
Snyder is in his seventh season after taking over following the
retirement of Norm Stewart.

He knows he is gone, now it's all about the buyout.

Hehe. It'll always be the Paige to me. Interesting footnote to Sundays game...

K-State and MU are currently tied in their all time series, 110-110.

This title is pretty misleading. It just says he hasn't been asked to resign.

I don't know anybody who would give you a nickel for the chance that he's back next year. But they aren't going to can a coach with 5 games left in the season.

I dont know if Mike Alden is smart enough to do something like that.

What is the advantage to firing someone with 5 or 6 games left? You just make yourself look bad to potential replacements.

That's what I'm thinking. He resigns he loses future $. If he gets fired, MU will have to buy out his contract.

I want an AD too though!

Yeah, Quinny should have been fired when they lost to Titicaca State on their home floor during the start of the season. No reason to bother to fire him when there's 5-6 games left. It's overdue.

No reason to bother to fire him when there's 5-6 games left. It's overdue. That's my feeling on it. You gain nothing by firing him now. Might as well let him finish out this horrid season.

5-6 games left in the season isnt exactly what you would call "mid-season". You might want to read the quote I was referring to before commenting on mine. By the way, ever heard of interim coaches? Melvin Watkins has HC experience does he not? How does it make the school look bad for future candidates? Hell even some of the players want him gone. I talked to Thomas Gardner and Kalen Grimes last night at a bar and they said that some of the players on the team are just quitting on him. Quinny needs to go.
