The Chiefs have an opening for head talent scout and they end up with your name. All the FA money is tapped out so build the team the best you can without the help of FA acquisitions, without having the scouting combine to fall back on (you can't see into the future, can you?) , or without having the resources to get into the top 15 of the draft. I'll start...

Trade down to 25 picking up a 4th rounder in the process...

1st round DT Gabe Watson Michigan
2nd round DE Mathias Kiwinuka Boston College
3rd round OG Taitusi Lutui USC
4th round WR Travis Wilson OU
5th round QB Drew Olson UCLA
6th round MLB Ahmad Brooks UV

Yea, he's actually slated as a 7th rounder, because of his injuries and he got into trouble for Marijuana. Last year he was definitely considered a first day guy.

Where is Texas DT Rodrique Wright supposed to go? 1st round?

He was supposed to go right around where we pick. His stock dropped a bit due to the NC game (he didn't play much). Other than that, we'll know more after the combine.

If Watson is a risk because of work ethic concerns, I'd say Wright is doubly so, simply because he's not the physical specimen Watson is.

Wright and Ahmad Brooks were two guys who were touted as top 15 picks last year before they returned to school both took a nose dive their senior years.

Wow, BCF...I like that draft. Thanks. I appreciate that. I didn't address every need, but I think the players I listed would improve our team and give us some players that could become contributers. I think the upside of all those players is tremendous.

I don't think there's any way Brooks drops to the 6th round. He'll be lucky to make it to late 4th, and the only reason he'll go that long is because there are so many good LBs in this draft.

As for the rest, the only thing I don't care for is Kiwi. I don't want another 2nd round pick going to a project/part time player. We need to get a guy that will at least compete for a starting position, and I don't think Kiwanuka will do that in his first year.

Darryl Tapp is another smaller DE who tends to get lost in the shuffle, although he supposedly had an excellent week of practice and was solid in the Senior Bowl.

1) Kiwi isn't falling that far
2) Watson is still a reach to me at 20
3) I don't think Lutui will fall that far
4) We have no 4th round pick
5) Brooks didn't come out. He would've gone in the 2nd round at worst if he did.

He traded down to #25 and picked up a 4th-rounder.

I'm doing my mock draft BEFORE the combine even starts, based on where I think players will end up.

1)Watson was a trade down.
2)Kiwi's stock has fallen signifigantly.
3)Lutui is 3rd rounder at this point.
4)Htis should have cleared this up for you. I traded down for Watson.
5)No comment on Olson-what's up?
6) Brooks has been up in the air on returning and his stock dropped tremendously because of his injuries. Again, last year he was guaranteed 1st day draftee, this year the injuries took their toll on his stock.

Looks like Ahmad Brooks may be kicked off the team. It's good to be in the know. LOL. How about that mock draft now?
