KU Notebook: Mizzou Arena toughestThe Kansas City StarKU guard Brandon Rush still says Mizzou Arena is the toughest place he’s played this season — a bit surprising since Oklahoma State’s Gallagher-Iba Arena is often regarded as the most hostile Big 12 road environment.
“It wasn’t too bad,” Rush said. “It was just really loud.”
■ Rush, by the way, said he didn’t have an opinion on the “resignation” of Missouri coach Quin Snyder, who coached Brandon’s older brother, Kareem, for three seasons. Rush did, however, say that there was no truth to Snyder’s comments regarding Missouri’s recruitment of Rush last summer.
Snyder said on his radio show last month that MU administrators told him to steer clear of Rush during the recruiting process.
“They were calling me up until a week or so before I decided to go to Kansas,” Rush said. “I even took an unofficial visit there.”

I heard the Quin quote; and what he said coincides with what Rush says here:
That Mizzou still was in the picture until about a week before he committed, when Alden told him to back off Rush. He did, and Brandon ended up a beaker.

Nice to hear that Mizzou Arena can still at least get up for kU...
