Chiefs | Team will not sign Marsh; he's expected to return to the CFL
Tue, 14 Feb 2006 13:26:42 -0800

MOJO Sports Radio reports the Kansas City Chiefs have not been able to reach a contract agreement with CFL CB Dante Marsh and he will not be signed. Earlier reports had Marsh reaching an agreement on a two-year contract with the Chiefs. Jason Medlock, the agent for Marsh, told MOJO that the two sides were unable to agree on the bonus money Marsh was to receive. The Chiefs also expressed some concern over what condition Marsh's shoulder is in, something Medlock says will not affect a possible season with the B.C. Lions of the CFL. Medlock now says he will call general manager Wally Buono to try and work out a long term deal with the Lions.

I wonder if his shoulder injury is as debilitating as Samari Rolle's neck injury was.

I guess we'll never know who his favorite Star Wars character was.

Honestly I don't care, has any CFL CB ever made the transition to the NFL. I am pretty sure the answer is no.

He's actually an NFL CB who had an injury which forced him out of the league and into the CFL - now he's trying to work himself back to the NFL.

care factor: close to zero.
If the guy was that good we wouldn't be the only NFL team looking at him.

Of course we are the only team looking at him, since we seem to be the only team in the NFL that hasn't figured out that good defense starts up front and in the middle.

He has two options, play for KC and the money they offer, or play for the CFL.

He chooses the CFL? F*ck him. Let him rot in obscurity, asshole deep in snow and loons. The last thing this team needs is some clown that wants to look a gift horse in the mouth.
