For most the season he wasn't even the best QB on their team, at least we can count on AZ continuing to confuse.

Imagine what Green would have done with those Rams teams.
I bet they would have won 2 or 3.

Beleive it or not Warner was solid for the Cards the last half of the season. He finally started getting into a rhythm with his receivers, and they have some damned good ones in Arizona.

They get Warner an improvement or two on the o-line in the offseason and that's bound to only get better.

That commercial during the Super Bowl featuring Kurt Warner talking about religion or something like that made me laugh.

Warner was the perfect QB for that offense; his arena ball inspired quick-release drove the greatest show on turf.

The only way Green would have won more SBs than Warner was if he could have convinced that cock Martz to run Faulk instead of sticking to the passing game when that Pats were strictly keying on the pass.

If the Rams would have went to Faulk they would have destroyed the Patsys in the SB.

65%, 85+ rating, behind THAT offensive line with THAT running game?

Trent Green only puts up a 90 rating with one of the best running games in football behind the Great Wall of KC.

His contract number is $7 mill. next season. Isn't that only slightly under what Green is making?

Trent Green attempted over 125 more passes for 1500 more yards, threw for 6 more touchdowns and only one more pick. This was also a really down year for Tony G so Green's stats aren't inflated by him.
And finally Cardinals Recievers > Chiefs Recievers

Yet his rating is only 5 points better which takes into consideration passing attempts/completions, yards, TDs and INTs.

And finally Cardinals Recievers > Chiefs Recievers

Any knowledgeable football fan would take:

A wall of protection, top 5 running game in football, servicable WRs and an All-Pro TE

over >>>

A wall of shit, the worst running game in football, 2 elite WRs and no TE to speak of

For clarification purposes, I don't think Warner is worth 18+ million and I consider him overpaid, but lets get real here. He's not that bad. He's a lot better, in fact, than he gets credit for.

Valid points, I guess I'm just astounded they're giving him a 3 year deal. I know he probably won't see the back end of it but still that's a lot of money to be handing Kurt at this point of his career. Maybe they see it as a sort of investment in a mentor, and that Warner can help bring along whatever QB they draft.

Instead of talking about Warner, we should be talking about McCown...in RnG.

Not a bad idea. He was in the same shitty situation as Warner.

People get enamoured with the WRs as if they are the be-all and end-all of an aerial attack, but a QB with time in the pocket and lackluster WRs will have more success than a guy with 2 Pro Bowlers when he's running for his life all the time.
