The Associated Press reports West Texas A&M has hired former NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) QB Ryan Leaf (http://www.kffl.com/player/533/nfl) as their new quarterbacks coach.

guys who cant play in the NFL become coaches all the time.
not hiring him on the basis of his NFL career is stoooopid.

Ryan Leaf was awesome in college and he could be a good QB coach in college. Just as long as none of the QB's he coaches try to make it in the NFL.

I heard it came down to Leaf and Jeff George and they picked Leaf. Whitlock is heartbroken. :deevee:

I am sure he can coach his players on public appearances also. Like locker room interviews.
