I've heard some on this BB and 610am talk about Brandon Lloyd and how we should try to sign him. What do you know about him? Should the Chiefs look at signing him?

he's restricted so he'll cost more than just a contract.

defense first!

He makes circus catches but he has an attitude problem. And as Laz said he'll probably at least be tendered a mid-rounder.

Damn! Care to share an unpleasant memory or two?

I heard he would like to come home to KC, but I agree that if he cost too much leave him alone. Defense comes first!

I like the guys ability, and would like to see him here. But uness we get lucky and SF forgets to offer him a tender, I don't see it happening.

Branden Lloyd and Chris Hope are two guys I think we should sign if we get the opportunity. Neither would break the bank, and both are underrated. Then we could concentrate on drafting D-line early in the draft.

Not really.

Great hands every now and then; inconsistent player, not that fast, not that big, not that strong... not really that good.

Has some potential but, unless he comes real cheap, not worth the roster spot over our current guys.

We could really use a good receiver and Lloyd is good. But as always, the price has to be right.

Not really.

We could've drafted David Pollack at #15 and he wouldn've been called "Mr. NotgoodenoughtobeatoutEricHicks".

But the fact of that matter is that he'd probably be "Mr. NotgoodenoughtoovercomeDickVermeil'sloyaltyproblem".

Same as Thorpe. I don't doubt that he's better than a couple of our guys whether he's caught a single ball in the NFL or not. Face it; you can't get a great deal worse than Chris "Mr. Mediocre" Horn.

lloyd is an amazing athlete, always has been. bspimp is right though, i went to school with him k-12, and he's a prick on the field. i think the risk could be worth it if we can pick him up for a mid to late draft pick. he is no more inconsist than the rest of kc's wr core. final vote is to bring him in.

58-4ever
02-15-2006, 06:21 PM
actually you don't get the final vote

kcfanXIII
02-15-2006, 06:42 PM
my final vote. this should be a poll.

he's worth the risk, see what he could do when he didn't have to make "circus catches."

i think he'd be better than dicky v's favorite pet sammie parker

If Lloyd could play with the same Q.B for more than 2 or 3 games he might just be a stud. S.F. has really slowed his development with their Q.B. carousel

I've pumping up Lloyd to the Jet fans at JI. He's really talented and has sick hands. He'd be a nice pickup for KC -

Yes, he caught that.

Here's a video with some great catches (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6920312372504230735&q=brandon+lloyd)

And here's one of the catch pictured above (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7925609253771672887&q=brandon+lloyd)

Lloyd's a helluva reciever. Unfortunately, I get to watch the niners cause of my location.... fortuntaely Lloy'd on the team cause I love watching him play. Boy is tall and has some of the longest arms I've seen. He's the real deal.

I would rather have Reggie Wayne but he is going to be the most sought after FA WR this offseason IMO.

They're playing SF next year, but of course it's at Arrowhead. That shit pisses me off. :( I don't know if I can handle another Raider's game.

Lucky when i go, my friends are mostly Raider fans, so i dont have to worry about fighting every drunk ass there. IT can be rough though, Especially tailgating. lol

Actually, the guys around us tailgating were super chill... we were slinging shit back and fourth but it was all out of good fun. Walking into the stadium, now that was another story.

No he isn't. Where is this delusional belief coming from? NFL Primetime????

He makes circus catches now and then; he's NOT that fast, NOT that strong, NOT that big and NOT that good.

I do think he's a solid WR and would make a serious run at starter on the Chiefs. He would be worth a middle round pick, simply because I don't think you could get a receiver of his caliber in the middle rounds. The biggest question is what his contract demands would be.

Isn't Moulds a FA this year?
I know he's getting older, but he's a player that I think could help the Chiefs if they're trying to "make a run" before Trent, Roaf et al are done.

I don't think Moulds is a FA; just due a lot of money that people speculate Buffalo won't pay.
