View Full Version : If we release Bell and/or Barber...

I would not mind seeing the Chiefs pick up the Giants' Nick Greisen for a resonable price. I have always liked him with the Gmen, plays where ever you want him to... sort of like Maslowski, except a better athlete.

if healthy. We have learned you can never have too many healthy LBs... especially if we are going to run a 3-4 sometimes.

I really hope Fox comes out healthy. Something about him makes me think he just might be pretty good someday.

If we lost Bell and Barber we'll need to address the OLB also. I hope we can get at least 1 of them to restructure satisfactorily. Personally, I think Bell is worth another shot.

Without them, we are left starting Fox at OLB (coming off an injury). Then our depth really sucks: Kris Griffin (the other Kris Wilson, who is going to NFLE), and who else?

I like Greisen as a young prospect. I would think NYG would try and keep him. They aren't exactly deep at LB.

But I don't think we're really in the market for a LB, even if we do let Bell go.

Good answer there.

And we have Roy Scanlon.

I was thinking the same thing about Griesen, asssuming he could be signed for a reasonable contract.

Apparently Griesen and Will Allen might be UFA - because of the cap. Plys Griesen has always been the second or third option for the Gmen. I just think he is an intelligent, big motor guy that can play inside or outside. It is total speculation on my part - but it is more fun than the non-football threads on the board right now....

We need to get under the cap first.

And DLine and Secondary are more pressing needs than LB depth.

I see us releasing Bell and Barber and not signing anyone.

We'll probably address it late in draft or get an undrafted rookie.

Good answer there.

And we have Roy Scanlon.

Now ya went and done it ............ :D

We need to hook up again this summer for a round, providing my body will let me. That knee is worst now than ever before.

I can't imagine that they would let Griesen hit the market.
