Round 1)_ Tamba Hali, DE, Penn State

Round 2)_ Jonathan Scott, LT, Texas

Round 3)_ Devin Hester, CB, Miami (or) William Blackmon, CB, Boston College

Round 5)_ Best FB on board

Round 6)_ Best DT on board

Round 7)_ Best athlete, any position, on board

My possible surprise pick:
Round 3)_ Dominique Byrd, TE, USC. (We need to start grooming Gonzo's replacement? Maybe an excuse, but he seems to be a great hard-to-pass-up player at that position)

Help me assign names to rounds 5, 6, and 7 based on the positions I mentioned.

Also, do we have an extra late round pick?

Blech.

I'd like a backup for LJ instead of a backup to Tony

I think we'll go FA there, if Holmes retires. My pick, Travis Henry.

Cool. We got us a funny n00b here. Would you mind telling me if your source of information telling you all of the names I've mentioned are first rounders is any better than mine? Mine is based on an overall ranking list that makes me judge that those players "may" be available where we pick. Do you base your dismissal of mine on a reliable source or should we just depend on your obvious GENIOUS and depth of god-given knowledge of the NFL?

So would I. But why be satisfied with Cutler in the first. Why not get Leinart? hmmm

Obviously this is a guessing game, but I've read that Byrd should go in the early 2nd. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/don_banks/02/26/snap.judgments/2.html

And Travis Henry is going nowhere. Chris Brown doesn't appear to be in their long term plans. We're much more likely, given LJ's workhorse abilities, to use our 5th on a backup. I.e., Derrick Blaylock. Not sure who at this point, however.

As for a FBOTF, I'm partial to J.D. Runnels.

He should be available in the second in that draft.

Well there goes my surprise 3rd rounder. Kiper just pegged him to go late in the first. BUt I still stick by my choices.
