Many Mock Boards have us drafting this guy. With his speed, I think it would be a great pic.

As long as its a 2nd round pick and we drafted a DT first round.

KC will draft the BAA, annd that looks like Bunkley or Hali

Chad Jackson would be a great use of our 1st-round pick.

I know alot of people would prefer that we take a defensive player, myself included, but Jackson has the ability to be a star in this league, and if he the BAA when we pick, we should take him.

What sucks is that the Chargers pick right before us and they have the same needs as us. They could use a WR, DE, or OT just like us. And they shouldn't be trading up or down for a QB, RB, or TE. (like us)

I think the collective minds prefer defense, but Chad Jackson is a stud. It would finally be nice to have a true number one WR for the next decade plus. He is a sure-handed wide-out that runs good routes. I wouldn't be displeased in the least.

That is actually not a bad pic. He's been impressive. I think he is the best WR in the draft.

We could use CB, S, and OLB as well.

They are not going to pick a DE....atleast not the same one we would, that's a 3-4 team. The Chargers need secondary help, or as you pointed out a WR or OT.

I know some people think Chad Jackson is a soft player, so you all can debate if you want him if he is soft.

I agree 100% with your post. Most teams that run a 3-4 will NOT pick a DE. If anything those teams will pick a DE/LB tweener.

Examples of those are Dallas(DeMarcus Ware), San Diego(Shawne Merriman),

etc. But then again....
:hmmm: Atlanta has Patrick Kerney and they run a 3-4?

But, most of the time, those defenses won't pick a passing rushing defensive end.

*Which now makes me think, I really really like KC's chances of landing Hali with the 20th pick.

This I fully support, if Hali is off the board. Move back 5-6 spots, p/up an extra 3rd/4th, and then take Jackson, who could still be there. If not, then grab Bunkley/Watson/Kiwi.

Atlanta doesn't run a 3-4. They did three years ago (with Kerney as DE and Wade Phillips as DC) and it was a monumental failure. They went back to a 4-3 when Mora took over.

Sylvester Morris?

He was from a small school and it was injury that ruined his career anyways, rather than being a poor selection.

Jackson will be gone by 20. I think he's going to shoot up draft boards since he ran a 4.32 at the combine.

Jackson is a much better player and athlete than Morris. As much as I like him, I would take Bunkley in a heartbeat if he was there at #20. The commentator on the NFL Network described him as "The Thing" from the Fantastic Four and that's exactly what he looks like. He's a huge, ripped up athlete who looks like a young Leonard Marshall. Yes, that's exactly what we need up front. As much as I like the receivers at the top of the draft, you can find receivers later who can become impact guys. Impact interior defensive linemen are too rare and hard to find to pass up, especially when that's a gigantic need area for KC.

Is that the fastest time in the draft? Shit that is flying. Hard to pass up that kind of talent. Number one WR in the draft.

Holmes is still probably going to go ahead of him, unless he bombs his 40 at his pro day.

Actually it's CB Tye Hill who ran a 4.3 in the 40

Herm is on record saying he wants defense, but will take the highest rated player. O-line or WR might be in the cards for us.
