I'm looking at getting a GPS for my 03 Envoy.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with them, and what's going to provide the best value.

Thanks in advance.

What are you wanting with it? Are you wanting the Map and road directions in your truck?

What is your price range?

Yeah, map and directions. I know my mother has turn by turn instrutctions on hers and I'd like that feature.

I'd probably spend around 6 hundo on one.

All Nextel Phones have GPS built in and the TeleNav Sofware costs $10 per months... It gives you turn By turn Directions as well as find Local Businesses...

Check it out...

www.nextel.com (http://www.nextel.com)I just got a Nextel phone. Is that GPS service worth it? My roommate also has Nextel. That 'Walkie-Talkie' rocks!

Getting Nextel isn't an option for me because 1) I hate their service, 2) I have a contract with another company.

I like the unit you posted, donger. Do you have that model?

The GPS service is quite good... if you go to www.telenav.com you can try it free!

We should get a Chiefs Planet Walkie Talkie Group

I could drive anywhere in California without a map, all from memory.

Doesn't anyone pay attention when they are moving arround? Taking mental notes?

Penmanship isn't necessary anymore, got the word processor.
Ciphering isn't necessary, got calculators.

Now we can turn more dipshits loose on the road, that couldn't find their way out of a paper bag, no thanks. GPS, should be banned for that purpose alone. Frankly, I dont' want someone knowing, when, where, and how fast I drive.

What do you want a ****ing medal because you can memorize where you drive?

I have to travel a lot - to places I've never been before. It helps when I have to be somewhere and mapquest's directions suck balls.

Wow. That's cool. I wonder how it works, since it doesn't use GPS? Triangulation?

Too bad I've got a Treo.
