The wind up, the pitch, a deep drive to leftfield, it's gone, a grand slam . Man, he really got ahold of that one.

OK, this really isn't anything new.

It's a great school depsite raising tuition 13% so people can have underwater TV and LCD dvd players on the treadmills so girls dont havta miss desperate housewives on a Sunday night.

Bragging about having attended a school like MU, KU, or KSU is like bragging you got to third base with the local lady of the evening. (j/k)

Yeah I was there a couple weeks ago for a mock trial that I was apart in. It's a very nice state of the art facility. If theyre gonna raise tuition for something like that then thats fine, but not so girls can watch their own dvd's while on the treadmill, or people can watch TV while swimming laps. Dont get me wrong the rec center at MU is amazing. But theres alot of stuff that seriously isnt necessary.

Heh.. sounds a lot like NWMSU. They've spent tons of money on new dorms, new buildings, etc; which is fine, but they also waste a ton of money on stuff like their international flag plaza thing, draining the pond so they could put a fountain in, and other needless crap that raises tuition every year. I was surprised they turned down the offer to become MU's bitch, but I guess they're already good at gouging.

I shudder to think what that stupid flag plaza must have cost.

The rec center was paid for entirely through student fees (which are seperate from tuition; equates to about $65/semester, IIRC) and some booster money.

THe reason the tuition keeps going up is that there isn't as much money devoted to the education budget as there used to be...

The rising tuition at MU is one of the best examples why Missouri can't support two "state" schools.
