View Full Version : Skins after RFA Wr Brandon Lloyd?

Skins thought to be close to RFA WR… Those pesky Washington Redskins may be at it again. The Redskins, who have led the league in signing restricted free agents in recents years, are reportedly close to signing San Francisco restricted free agent WR Brandon Lloyd. Lloyd has been tendered such that the 49ers would be owed a #1 pick if they didn’t match an offer sheet signed by Lloyd, however, they appear willing to accept somewhat less in compensation. Washington reportedly is prepared to offer a third-round choice this season and a fourth rounder in next year's draft in exchange for Lloyd who reportedly really wants out of San Francisco.

Althought i love his determination, Dan Synder has ZERO Super Bowl wins to show for all the $$$$ he has thrown around.

That would put two Blue Springs HS kids on the same NFL team.

Lloyd is overrated. He makes some nice plays for the highlight real, but is not that great of a receiver.

With talent around him I think he will pretty much prove everyone wrong.

Is he a cousin of Ladell Betts?

He was the whipping boy of a coach of ours in HS when Lloyd was still playing. I have never in my life heard more curse words thrown at one person.

I guess this Finkle kid took it to heart.

Having the name Finkle and being assosiated with the NFL brings this phrase to mind -

"LACES OUT, DAN!!! LACES OUT!!!!"

Maybe he will, but either way I don't think he is worth the first rounder you would need to give up for him. The skins don't have a first rounder, hwo exactly would they get him? Would they have to negotiate compensation with the 9ers?

Yeah I was at that game. I think he had 18pts that game. He shot it in Kleiza's eye a couple times that game. I only went to one game up there against CMSU. I tried to go to every game he played at Warrensburg though. Its closer. I hate the trip to Maryville so much that just driving there prevented me from hardly going up there.

I wonder if the 'Skins considered this?

Oh, wait, all one has to do is read the original post to answer that question.

The guy still owes me for coining his nickname...which followed him to MVille.

I thought FA didn't begin until midnight tonight. If Washington is in discussions with Lloyd's agents already, isn't that tampering?
