Snyder is a mad man...

So now they have Santana Moss, Randle El, and Brandon Lloyd?

One of those guys is going to be a hell of a slot receiver.

Well it looks like Saunders is going to have a good WR core. But not so much QB.

Yeah, makes you wonder what's next in the plans for Snyder... I think he's borderline insane, but damn ... eventually one of these wild ass spending sprees has to pay off, right?

Skins fans can't say he doesn't try...

What they hell are they doing exactly?

Hey - maybe they'll pull a rabbit out of their hat and announce the signing of Brees or a trade for Culpepper. Who knows? Kerry Collins ... Brian Griese?

I think Griese could be a decent signing.

6 years 25 mil, for a #3 wide receiver......insane.

I can't picture Gibbs using those gimmicks very often. He is a good punt returner even though he has alot of fumbles, but he has not done much as a kickoff returner. Paying that much for someone is isn't much more than a good slot receiver is crazy. Randle El barely put up better receiving stats than Dante Hall.

I guess they want to make it as easy as possible for Campbell to adjust to the NFL....

or Todd Collins. They got that 1st rounder from last year Campbell? I wonder what he is like.

LB Witherspoon to the Rams

Wow - that's two good additions with Corey Chavous (S) and now Witherspoon (LB) to a defense that needs playmakers.

Be interesting how they line up the LB's.

Coakley, Witherspoon, and Pino Tinisomoa.

All WLB's IMO.

I thought he was the best FA available this year so I'm not surprised. He's going to be a superstar.

For WitherspoonThe contracts that have gone out in the last two days have been f*cking ridiculous. About 80% of the guys signed so far have been way overpaid IMO.

Teams are just being stupid with this extra money.

Edge was a freaking bargain compared to some of these others and what we know he can do.

Agreed.

Spoon might have been the best coverage and overall LB but that's a lot of dough for a LB.

Any year when Larry Tripplet and Corey Chavous get good deals on the first day of FA is a sign of the changing times.

Hell, I thought we might get lucky to try and wait to visit with a couple DE's Like Andre Carter or a Kalimba Edwards for a look see. They'll probably be gone tommorrow with 5 m plus bonuses.

Suprised I haven't heard much on Rocky Bernard yet.

Thank God the NFL never reached the point of having no salary cap next year. The Redskins would have bought the entire league.

I guess I'll never understand how a team that was so far over the cap a couple weeks ago can come out paying huge contracts like this.

How come everyone forgets about jason campbell who we drafted in the first round last year. He sat a year on the sidelines and should be ready to go.

So how long does Al Saunders have a job if this offense flops? 1 and done?

I guess I'll never understand how a team that was so far over the cap a couple weeks ago can come out paying huge contracts like this.

They cut and restructure contracts to get more cap room, then circumvent that cap number by giving larger signing bonuses. Every team in the league could do what they do, they just aren't as willing to spend the money.

Randle El could be a decent backup QB, aswell.

Rausch
03-13-2006, 01:53 AM
He's a probowl level returner, solid no 2 or 3 WR, and a good emergency QB.

Also got a good attitude...
