Sun, 12 Mar 2006 22:01:34 -0800

Bob Brookover, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports a source said the Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to the terms of a six-year contract with free agent DE Darren Howard (Saints). No financial terms were disclosed. Gary Wichard, the agent for Howard, would not confirm the agreement but said he was working on a deal with the team.

Yet another guy alot of people here wanted off the market.

That's a sick line, with Freak and Mike Patterson putting up good stats last year (45 tackles, 7.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks).

Whew, i'm glad we're not in a position to overpay him like that.

Well it's not like we were going to sign him anyways.

That Dline is nasty.

Howard was one guy I wouldn't mind having on our D-line. He's a solid player.
I agree that is a pretty nasty D-line there in Philly. Pretty big contract for Howard considering he came off an injury plagued season. Rocky Bernard is still on the market, Im wondering how much he is going to cost?

Some mock drafts had the eagles taking Hali. I hope this increases the chance that he could fall to 20.

Looks like the Eagles may be eyeing another position now. This is good news for the Chiefs, but the Eagles may have their eye on a DT now(let's hope not), probably a WR.

One of my grad school classmates is from Philly and is a huge Iggles fan. Must be nice to have a well run, successful franchise to root for.

The Eagles are probably going to draft an offensive lineman first.........Marcus McNeill seems probable to me there.
