I bet a lot of brackets are real SHOT.

It is a very upsetting NCAA tourney
I bet a lot of brackets are real SHOT.
I had Syracuse on one (my oddball).
I had North Carolina on one (that one's done now).
Guess I'll have to depend on either UConn or BC. UConn better start playing again. Only up by two with 3:04 left.
That's what I was thinking, Mr. Vanilla Thunder.
I cannot recall another tournament that had this many.

It doesn't seem that bad to me, but I was expecting quite a few anyway...
There were 6 6+ seeds in the Sweet 16 last year (6, 6, 6, 7, 10, 12).
There's 3 at the moment (7, 11, 13) and there's a 7, 8, 8, & 10 left to play.

All the "underdogs" seem to come back and totally outscore their opponents in the second half. Just today...
G Mason 20 45 65
N Carolina 27 33 60
Kentucky 31 52 83
Connecticut 43 44 87
NW State 19 30 49
W Virginia 41 16 57
Wasn't enough for Kentucky though, thank goodness. NW/WV isn't done yet.
Thanks, Mr. Bearcat. I guess I had this impression due to the fact that my bracket morphed into a Charmin two-ply a$$ wipe this year.

Plus tons of games that had very low seeds giving the high seeds a lot of trouble, keeping it very, very close.
No team is safe this year.

And that's really odd, because it's usually the higher-seeded team that will sleep through the first half only to wake up and take care of business in the second.... guess it makes sense the other way, too

i hope it stays that way
I don't think there have been more upsets... just the gap closing between the high and low seeds creating more competitive games.
A couple of the 16 seed games were close, three of the 2/15 games were competitive, three of the 3/14 games were competitive. There haven't been many blowouts at all. That is different.
