Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Monday that the club has agreed to terms of a one-year contract with DE Carlos Hall. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.

Hall (6-4, 269) was originally acquired by Kansas City in a trade from Tennessee in exchange for the Chiefs fifth-round draft choice (150th overall) in 2005. He played in 14 games (two starts) for the Chiefs last season, recording 20 tackles (12 solo), a sack (-1.0 yard), 17 QB pressures, four passes defensed, a fumble recovery and two forced fumbles. He has appeared in 59 games (33 starts) during his four-year NFL career with Kansas City and Tennessee, registering 228 tackles (139 solo), including 17 for a loss, to go with 14.5 sacks (-58.5 yards), nine passes defensed, 48 QB pressures, two fumble recoveries and four forced fumbles. Hall also owns four postseason starts, producing nine tackles, including three for a loss, as well as three QB pressures and a fumble recovery.

In 2004, Hall started 14 games, recording 72 tackles (42 solo), 2.5 sacks (-11.0 yards), seven QB pressures, one fumble recovery and a forced fumble. In 2003, Hall saw action in all 16 games (four starts), registering 66 tackles, 3.0 sacks (-13.0 yards) and 13 QB pressures. In 2002, he earned All-Rookie team honors after appearing in 15 games (13 starts) and accumulating 70 tackles, a career-high 8.0 sacks (-30.5 yards) to go with 11 QB pressures, six passes defensed and a fumble forced.

The 27-year-old Marianna, Arkansas native originally entered the NFL after being selected in the seventh round (240th overall) by the Titans in 2002. Hall started 32 of 41 career games at the University of Arkansas, where he earned second-team All-SEC honors from the Associated Press
