I started out with the free 14-day trial (https://secure.eve-online.com/ft/?aid=100936) and have been hooked ever since (for about 2 months now)

Seriously addictive spaceship MMO that every sci-fi, videogame junky should at least try.

Look me up in game if you need a little help.

If your already a playa... lets compare notes.

To be honest with you, I just decided to try the game out recently, so I have no idea what the deal was in the past.

The game is free as far as downloading purposes.. then if you want to remain playing they ask you to pay 14-15$ a month.

I know, I swore I would NEVER pay to play a game... other than the original purchase.

This changed my outlook on MMO's however and now I don't see the cost as really being that big of a deal.

I'll prob end up playing it for 5-6 months then lose interest anyways.

The space scenery is quite amazing and changes from system to system.

I read somehwere that there are over 2600 diff systems that make up the galaxy.

Here's a screen of one of my Destroyers I tool around in from timeto time.

I played it during the free beta. Gorgeous backgrounds, but damn boring gameplay from my perspective. They've probably made plenty of changes since then. In the beta you spent 90% of your time mining asteroids for ore and then selling it. Very little if any world content - the idea being that the players were going to be responsible driving almost everything. A beautiful game that did a great job of capturing a realistic space exploration simulation. The problem being that realistic space exploration made for a big, empty, quiet, and boring game.
