I just found out we let T-Rich go today, how long ago did this happen and why were we not able to resign him. This makes me very upset with the Chiefs organization, and this is just another reason why i think King Carl should leave.

It almost seemed that he wanted out of Kansas City. Because at this time in his career money shouldnt matter much, and TRich is a smart type guy that doesnt seem to be after a shit load of money, enough to take him away from KC

This was pretty much all covered in the long T-rich thread.

I don't think the terms of the deal have been released but its not like its a big assumption that he got paid more than we were offering. He is old and plays a position that doesnt typically pay well. I can hardly blame him for taking more money and am actually happly if he scored a nice contract.

On the other side it hurts to let a guy like him walk but you really don't want to overpay for a vet FB.

He got 2.5 million over 2 years.

1.25 mil for Tony Richardson, or 1.2 mil for William Bartee? We chose Bartee.

Ouch thats kind of hurts to think of like that. 2.5 mil is some nice money for a FB. Would have liked us to have given it to him but nice to see he got that much at least.

Did we save any Money on the Cap by T-Rich Flying the Coop

Did we save any Money on the Cap by T-Rich Flying the CoopHe was a free agent. He wasn't affecting our 2006 salary cap.

Technically, you could say we saved money by not spending it on him.

there was a clip on the news last night with T-Rich. He said he didn't get the ball in KC, maybe 5-6 times a season. With the Vikes he will

LOL...I thought this was funny when I heard it the other day.

Did you know that Tagliabue is retiring this summer--he started in 1989 too. So Carl has managed to outlast the Commissioner of the NFL.

So let's review...

No Priest to pass protect
Last year of the great OL
Last year of the great Trent Green
No more Al Saunders
Joey Harrington on his way in
Still no WR's that scare anyone

can you say rebuilding?

i just wonder why Richardson didn't USE the vikings to increase his contract offers from us like all the other free agents do.

i'm mean surely Richardson would of settle for less money from us like Bernard did from the seahawks.

right?!

He was not used in this offense. Some people actually want to play the game instead of standing on the sidelines.

He went where he will be on the field for the majority of the offensive snaps.
