It'll be nice to see all the players again that we've traded away over the years :banghead:

Don't you think we'd probably get one if we had a new stadium too?

That rocks! I was thinking that I would never get to see one. Or, at least go see everything if not the actual game. Maybe just the HR derby or the futures game or whatever.

Man, how sweet would that be.

High stakes bribery. KC should have had multiple All-Star games by now. **** baseball. Bastards. How about fixing the game so teams can compete evenly.

I wonder if the All-Star game and Super Bowl will bring in enough revenue to generate a profit from all of this?

The NFL does the same thing. Just with Super Bowls... Tagliabue has been great at that. Look at how many new stadiums have been built since he took over. Literally 80-90% of the league has gotten a new stadium/renovations passed. You could probably count the teams that haven't improved their stadium on one hand... Chiefs, Chargers, Saints, Vikings...

A profit for Lamar and Glass maybe.

Has there been one in recent years that has not gone to a new stadium?

No kidding. I will never watch a full game of baseball until they fix that.

Man the Super Bowl, the MLB All Star game... what is next? A Final Four? An Olympics?

99.9% of the people who vote "yes" to get a SuperBowl or a MLB All Star Game in KC won't have a snowball's chance in Hell of getting a ticket to either event.

The more I look at this stuff, the more I'm thinking about voting no. And I do have a vote.

Yeah but you have to think of the economic impact the Super Bowl and MLB All Star Game will have for the city, in terms of the # of visitors it will attract to the city.

Royals | Team getting All-Star Game

MLB.com reports the Kansas City Royals will host an All-Star Game between 2010-2014.

This is too far away to even give a crap. :shake:

I'm still voting yes, tho.

I wonder if there has ever been a town hosting an All-Star game that had none of their hometown players actually in the game? This could be a first.

Every team gets at least one all-star, it's a rule. That's how you have Ken "Grimace" Harvey bceome an All-Star in '04.

In terms of getting a Super Bowl yes this needs to pass but if it doesn't more then likely the Royals will get a new stadium downtown which means we will still be getting a All Star Game. Mute point
