Law...with Law and Surtain on the corners and Wesley and Knight in the backfield it would be like the days of Ross, Lewis, Burress, and Cherry :)

but dont you think Woodson would be better for the chiefs in the long run since he is younger, and he has some talent.

I don't think woodson has proven anything other than he is injured all the time

I wouldn't mind Law or Woodson - at LEAST consider Warfield at less $. Law or Woodson could give us the Vet experience but share time with a draft pick. Warfield isn't a great CB, but he did get to where he was dependable and I wouldn't mind him back for a mil a year.

DL - Sam Adams should at least be worth a look - he's old and injury prone, but he still manages more games per season than Ryan Sims.

WR - KJ wants to talk to us, I think his size and hands could be a real asset. Face it, outside of Priest and T-Rich, we haven't had anyone to throw the ball too when the game is on the line that we KNOW will bring it in - even TG and EK drop them too much.

QB - I think Harrington could not only make a great backup, I think (contrary to other views on the BB) he could give us a viable option when Trent retires. The guy has got the physical skills, he needs confidence again and he needs out of detroit.

if you want Law . how long is he going to be able to play before his age catches up to him

Its already catching up with him. However, he's still more productive than a lot of those available.

The way the question is posed, Mr. chief118, I'm not sure it matters.

Without adding someone to our defensive line who can get pressure on the QB, we might as well compete in the National Origami League because this defense is likely to fold again.

Well Mr. Fax, I know but that is reality right know. I mean there is no one else. I agree with you. Who are the top free agents out there for the D-line?

Keshawn: Yes
Ty Law: Yes
C-Wood: NO
A pass rushing DE: Yes
Carl Peterson to actually do something this offseason: Yes

Law likely has 2 good years as a corner left, then he could move over to FS and be better at that than anyone we've had in about 10 years.

People can trumpet Dline all they want fact is this wasn't a good Dline market. To get any of the high level guys you'd have to vastly overspend for what they are.

Back then we also had Smith, Phillips, Salemua, and DT, Lewis in our front 7. Everything starts up front.

Were probably not signing anyone good this season because the next few seasons we are gonna be in cap hell IMO.

Lewis, Ross, Burress and Cherry were a feared secondary before we had a front seven see mid 80's(85,86,87,88)

Get Law, keep him around for two or three years, surround him with some young hotshots, and let his three-ring experience rub off on them. He can be a lot more of an asset than just on the field.

What was our W/L record through that era?

But he's been a Raider. It's impossible to get that stink off.

On another board even the Faider fans are dissing him and saying he can't play. There's got to be a reason Al allowed Woodson to depart. .... same as Kingless allowing Warfield to go.

You didn't give the Gaz option or "none of the above." I think all those guys are out of our price range. CP tried to get Law last year with a one year "prove your worth" contract. Can't do that this year coz he proved his worth.

I'd love to have Law but not sure he will be worth what he will be asking ... the factor is his age.

I'd also love to have Johnson but our real need is D. I think he would be a great fit for both him and the team ... but it is a matter of him wanting too many $$$$$

I think it is up to the draft and we all knows how well kingless does with the draft.... sure hope Herm has some magic???????

I think Woodson would come cheaper than Law, and as weird as it would be to see him in red and gold.. I think he'd make as good if not better #2 than Warfield was last yr.

Law and Surtain, would make a kick ass combo as our cornerbacks. knight can be a better safety if hes not having to cover peoples asses all the time in coverage. and wesley is coming into his own as a safety. we could have the premier backfields in the nfl with that id say.
