Thanks for the heads up Dole. Have you tried Last.FM? It seems very similar...they have tracked 16k+ of my last listened tracks.

Bob Dole hadn't looked at Last.FM in awhile and it looks like they've got some cool tools that musicmobs has yet to develop.

Bob Dole assumes you can create your own group and allow people to join? That would be a pretty cool feature to use on Bob Dole's local music site if people would actually participate.

Yes sir.

Form a group and attract members, have your own charts, stats, forums and politics.
Open it up or make it exclusive, ban people who listen to Britney Spears from joining if you like.
You are in charge of your group, unless the members overthrow you with a revolution...
You can create and join as many groups as you like.

Here on last.fm we believe that three's a crowd. Consequently, if your group has less than three members, there's not really much point in it existing. Old groups with less than three members will be deleted.

vague statements referring to "old" make Bob Dole hesitant to implement something on the site. IT would seem to make more sense to delete groups without any activity.

Here's an interesting link that's supposed to log your Pandora plays to your Last.fm account.
