I have to hand it to the people at draftboardinsider.com on this one!

Look at this mock draft they have going for the Chiefs:

Rd 1 Kameron Wimbley, DE, Florida State
Rd 2 Darnell Bing, S, USC
Rd 3 Dusty Dvoracek, DT, Oklahoma
Rd 5 James Wyche, DE, Syracuse
Rd 6 Cedric Humes, RB, Virgnia Tech
Rd 6 Roman Harper, S, Alabama
Rd 7 Travis Wilson, WR, Oklahoma

*Not a bad draft! I can dig this! I'm very pleased with the first 3 rds.

I'd be very satisfied with that. But lets be honest. We all know that Carl could never draft that well. :banghead:

Being a Sooners fan, I don't think Dvoracek is all of that. He a high-motor guy, but he just doesn't have the skills to take on huge blockers. I don't think he's worth spending a 3rd rounder on. Plus, I don't see a need to pick TWO DEs, when Jared Allen seems to have a LOCK on one of the end positions. Add to that, Wimbley is too undersized to take with a mid-first round pick, IMO.

I think Cedric Humes and Travis Wilson are two very good prospects, but no way do I believe Wilson will fall to a 7th rounder.

Heres mine...

Rd1 - Penn St DE Tambia Hali
Rd2 - Miami CB Kelly Jennings
Rd3 - Texas DT Rodrique Wright
Rd5 - Missouri G Tony Palmer
Rd6 - Best player on the board
Rd7 - Best player on board

Then the next seasons draft we need to look at OT's, S, and WR if we dont address them in FA.

I could live with this draft.

I'd rather have Hali in the first, and Bobatunde Oshinowo in the third, or James McCargo, if he lasts that far.

I've seen a number of mocks that have Drew Olsen lasting into the sixth round, so I'd rather take him in place of of James Wyche in the fifth.

But other than that, it's an OK draft.

Wimbley isnt just burning up the wire as a hot pick. This is the first that i've even seen him in the top 20

He has been moving up in the mocks I have seen. Kiper has him going to Cleaveland at #12 in his most recent mock.

Bing is moving up, too... the last FoxSports mock had him going to the Steelers in the final pick of the first round. Probably no way he's there for us in Rd 2.

Hali and Wright would be a amazing draft.

Last year was a really good draft.

Kamerion Wimbley doesn't give me the warm, and fuzzies.

The kid had a very average Senior Bowl week
