we pick 20th, all we need is 6 players to be picked not on the list below.

players that SHOULD go before we pick, that aren't on our list: (Jay Cutler,Vince Young,Matt Leinart,Reggie Bush,Vernon Davis,A.J. Hawk,DeAngelo Williams)

that's 7 "no doubters" that get picked before us

We should get someone from this list of 14 players.

(at some positions i listed the top 3 instead of 2 if there was alot of dispute about which one was better.)

DE
Mario Williams 6-7, 295 4.70 North Carolina State
Tamba Hali 6-3, 275 4.75 Penn State
Mathias Kiwanuka 6-6, 266 4.70 Boston College

FS
Michael Huff 6-0, 205 4.34 Texas (CB/FS)
Jimmy Williams 6-2, 205 4.42 Virginia Tech (FS)

CB
*Antonio Cromartie 6-2, 208 4.47 Florida State (X)
Tye Hill 5-10, 185 4.32 Clemson
*Ashton Youboty 6-0, 190 4.45 Ohio State

DT
*Haloti Ngata 6-4, 338 5.13 Oregon (X)
Brodrick Bunkley 6-3, 306 5.01 Florida State

WR
*Chad Jackson 6-1, 213 4.32 Florida
*Santonio Holmes 5-11, 190 4.35 Ohio State

OT
D'Brickashaw Ferguson 6-6, 317 5.20 Virginia
*Winston Justice 6-6, 319 5.15 Southern California

* indicates underclassmen
X - indicates player with an injury concern that could affect their ultimate draft status.
O - indicates player with a legal or other off-field concern that could affect their ultimate draft status.

I would add Mario Williams, Huff, Ngata, Brick, Justice, Ernie Sims, Jackson and Hill to the definately gone list. That brings it up to 15.

I would be pretty sure that SuperMario and DaBrick will be gone before 20. And I'm not so sure about DeAngelo Williams.

Which would list 8 players that should be gone, but still leave 12 who could, at a position of need for us. In other words, 1 of those 12 will be available.

The problem for me is, I do NOT want Kiwi @20. But I'd be willing to substitute Whitner for Kiwi.

yes, brick and Mario should be gone ... but they are also players at positions of need for us.

either way the numbers balance the same

If Huff or Jimmy Williams are at 20, it will be like last year all over again.

That saying Hali or Ashton Youboty would be my pick. Or the wildcard is to take Holmes.

I would DEFINITELY add The brick and Mario Williams to that list, both players are slated to go in the top 5, so I would be surprised to see them drop to 20.

I don't think Bunkley is making it to our pick either....At this point at 20 I think Antonio Cromartie is gonna be the best guy available. I know we need Dline but at 20 the talent is just to good to pass on. Cromartie has top 5 type of talent.

show of hands ....

how many people understand that the players at our positions of need are all listed together IRREGARDLESS of whether they should be picked before us?

this is about the process of elimination ... whether there are enough good players we don't really need to force players we do need down to our selection.

Geesh ... if you wanna argue a mock draft selection situation there are only 100 other Mock threads.

teh retarts  :banghead:

The more I read up on this Antionio Cromartie, the more I think he should be our pick.

Hopefully the kid isn't all workout hype.

irregardless

Main Entry: ir·re·gard·less
Pronunciation: "ir-i-'gärd-l&s
Function: adverb
Etymology: probably blend of irrespective and regardless
nonstandard : REGARDLESS
usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that "there is no such word." There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.
