The Rangers are down 2-1 and it's total bullshit. They would have escaped the second inning ahead 1-0 if the wind hadn't knocked a foul popup over the right fielder's head into fair territory for a double. TOTAL BS!!!!

On the plus side, our rookie second baseman is now 5 for 10 on the season. Alfonso WHO?

Burgos could be a good closer in the future. His stuff was really good, and some of the hitters had trouble catching up to that fastball. Just have to mix it up a little bit more, instead of firing off 3 or 4 straight fastballs.

Errr, I'm not sure. I don't think they'd black out WGN. Usually it's just ESPN and the FSN channels that get blacked out, but I could be wrong...since it's not on RSTN I imagine you'll be able to get it.

He probably is. We can't give up on Teahen, he should've been in AAA last year. People are going to want his head soon, I hope we don't screw this up. We don't need to rush Gordon and we don't need to throw Teahen in the tank yet.

I think Baird's done pretty good in the trade market the last few years. It's free agency where he's been horrible. I mean to be honest, we still practically got the best of the Beltran trade. I mean he helped the Astros get in the playoffs, but they got farther last year without him. And Dotel gave the A's half a year. For two rent-a-players, we ended up getting three guys who I still think have an ML future. But I like Teahen, and Buck needs to have more nights like tonight.

Giambi was a left handed hitter with really good plate discipline and little power. The power developed later on. That's kind of the A's philosphy. You can make a guy stronger but you can't teach him plate discipline.
