View Full Version : $1.99 Gas

I went to Oklahoma today to visit the family and we went to Enid. At all three Shell stations gas was $1.99. Lines had to be a mile long and supposedly they ran out of gas in two hours. Cops were at each station keeping everything under control. I only saw one accident because of it. If I would've been in my truck I definately would've sat in line for that.

No kidding. The sad thing is they could run that same type of special in 2-3 years or so but the gas discount would be something like $3.99.

Yep; I heard on the news that the National average over this summer is supposed to be about $4.00 a gallon.

It's good to know that I will be traveling 80 miles a day twice a week for part of the summer. Mens softball league.

I just got done playing some midnight basketball and poker. I dominated in all phases of it.

It is. It will be the first time I've ever played softball with my dad and brother. I have a buddy that lives in the same town as me, that's playing so I'm guessing we will switch off on driving.

It's 2.87 right now in nw ohio. Fortunately I live like 8 blocks from campus, but I'm definitely going to have to invest in a mof*cking bike.

It use to take me about $25 to fill my truck up when it was on E. That was when I first started driving in 02'. Now it usually runs me around $35 or so. It must suck to have a huge tank like some of you guys.

my saab has a 60 litre tank. petrol is 1.30 per litre. Filling up is expensive.

For reference purposes a large Bic Mac, Large Fries and Coke costs 6.25.

Watch out for those V6 S10's. I have a 91 and it doesn't get very good gas milege.

Bugs are creepy and besides they attract arachnids.

Oh, you meant those cute little cars that my older siblings used to slug me in the arm over every time they saw one.

I know, and it has evolved into a stupid little game with some of the dumbest made-up rules ever.

For example: Now you have to not only say "slug bug", but you must specify the color of said slug bug and you can't claim the same slug bug twice at different times unless it has moved and you see it in a different location.

Sorry, but rock-paper-scissors has the dumbest rules ever. If we're going to brawl, and I have a rock and you have a piece of paper, I'm liking my chances.

we are running into the problem now where people are trying to get fired because it is more cost effective just to stay at home all day
