He must be predicted a trade, I dont see New Orleans taking a QB. I like our pick.

I am very surprised to see Lawson going to Denver at 15. I hope this is wrong. I also don't like seeing McCargo going to Tampa Bay right after our pick. I am hoping for a NC State double in the first two rounds for the Chiefs in those two guys.

Gosselin is usually pretty good at the mock drafts. I think he nailed our pick.

I could live with this pick. I just think Lawson is more athletic and faster. If we go cover two, Lawson would also be good at dropping into coverage on the zone blitzes. I also liked how Lawson played the bootleg in the Senior Bowl as well.

And what really sold me on Lawson was the first time I tuned into a NC State game to watch Williams play, #91 was the defensive end kicking fanny and taking names. I figured it must be Williams. Turned out it was Lawson.

I forgot to comment on this one.......if Cromartie goes 1 pick before us like that I'll go insane, not to mention that team is in our division.

Turned out it was Lawson.I like Manny Lawson alot, too. He's a bad-ass. I just think Lawson translates to being a LBer more than a DE. Hali looks pretty polished to me in the run game and rushing the QB, so I'm leaning towards him as the better pick for us. Either player would be a good pick for us.

Until the last couple weeks, I'd had my hopes on a S.Carolina double in the 2nd or 3rd, with Joseph and Simpson, after a trade down to still get Hali. But now the talking heads have Jonathan Joseph rising too high. Never know what the real draft boards look like though. Quite often, all the media and mock draft rising/falling is BS.

And BTW, I like McCargo a lot too!

I'd be surprised if Ko Simpson made it to our 2nd pick, let alone 3rd.

Me too. No way we get 2 of those 3/4 guys I mentioned, unless something like Coogs' trade idea with NYJ happens(KC's #20 + #54 for NYJ #29 + #35).

hard to believe so many teams would pass on Ferguson.

1 WR in the first round???

It's a weak year for WR overall.

Hali would be an impact DE at a real position of need. I think he would be a fine pick.

The top two are the only ones worthy of first round consideration, IMO.

Gosselin's third mock is usually very accurate, but his first and second attempts normally leave a lot to be desired.

I think Leinart is a stretch for the Saints.

If the Saints draft him, it will be to trade him....like SD with Ely.

I see them taking either Da Brick or Super Mario Williams.

Yup. Probably Williams.

Leinhart goes to TN or NYJ.

I don't see Dallas taking a WR in the first round.

This is his first mock. I'm guessing it was done prior to TO being signed by Dallas and Brees being shipped to NO.

Gosselin has a second mock out, and has us taking Kamerion Wimbley.

Whoever he has us taking in his third and final mock, I will seriously prepare to see in red and gold.
