Have you seen our lineup today?

7 of the 9 players in the batting order hitting .250 or less. :banghead:
Well, at least we have Esteban German hitting at .500................3 for 6.

Wouldn't be easier just to forfeit the game and save up for another day? Why waste Elarton with that shit-ass lineup?

I disagree. They are nearing a point where the season will be completely over (hole will be too deep for this feeble team). While they weren't going to win a division title in 06, they certainly had something to play for.

So, you pull out all the stops and you get the skid turned around immediately. That means playing your best players when your PHUGGIN ace is on the mound. I'm sensing we are witnessing the re-birth of Tony Pena............

I know I'd be grateful if I had a guy with half of Carpenter's talent pitch at any time, ever. So he's pitching a day game. [/sigh] Deal with it. :)

Well, Bell has stuck pretty much the same lineup out there every night all through this streak. I think the reporters got on him about that because he had a pretty snappy sounding answer to that in the paper the other day. Maybe it just sounded snappy to me... said these were our starters and that's who is going to play. That's the one thing I do like about Bell, he tries to be consistent. Guys like Stairs and German haven't hardly played at all yet because of it though.

Yeah. Royals would trade a pitcher with 1/2 Carp's talent by August deadline to get some cash... :)

Graffanino's playing 2B and Costa is playing for Sanders in RF.

Buck's hitting a little better. If I'm not mistaken, he still has not struck out yet this year. Not putting up great numbers but he's making contact.

Usually I'd agree. But with the fact that baseball doesn't have any sort of salary cap, causing teams like the Royals to have absolutely zero chance to compete, I decided I was going to jump ship and become more of a 'baseball' fan rather than a 'Royals' fan.

I'd never stop being a Chiefs fan. The Chiefs are the one team in professional sports that I care about.

How can you like the Cubs AND the White Sox? That's like saying you like the Chiefs and the Broncos. :spock:

Prior to last year, Sox fans hated Cubs fans because they were jealous of the attention the Cubs got. Cubs fans found the Sox fans to be annoying lowlifes not worthy of consideration.
