With the price of gas going sky high I was wondering what everyones car/truck (combined) MPG was.

You can find it at this web site.

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm

My Ford Thunderbird sucks at 19 MPG

My Taurus checks in at 19 city and 28 highway, and 8.2 tons of CO per year.

My BMW checks in at 19 city and 26 highway, and 8.6 tons of CO per year.

Where do you see combined numbers?

Toyota Prius

I smile at every SUV at the gas station every time I fill up - which is about once a month.

It looks like they changed formats at some point. Older cars show combined, and newer cars don't. I bet a lot of innocent men had to die to get that change put into place.

Price of fuel just took a jump here over the weekend, and again today.
I’m paying $1.17 @ L for mid grade
That’s $4.45 a US gallon.
And you guy’s are bitching about gas prices?
Puuuleasseeee

Oh BTW I get around 21-24 with the Cavalier.
The company truck I let the guy’s use gets about 4 gallons to the mile somedays. :banghead:

Our 01 XTerra gets 16/19 - we like it but it looks like the wife is going to become a mini-van driving soccermom. Anybody in the market for a used XTerra drop me a note.

It didn't have any info on my big diesel. I get about 15 and 17 with that so long as I drive like an old woman. When I drive it like it's a sports car, I get more like 11 and 13. I drive like an old woman these days.

My Acura CL gets 19/28 but I usually average around 24 driving around the city.

My wife's 2003 Impala is 19/29. Sounds about right. City driving is actually closer to 24 I'd say.

My 2003 Silverado 2500HD 4WD is not listed but it averages around 12.5. I'm lucky to get 9 mpg when it's pulling our camper.

22/31......2004 VW Passat.

My experience has been that the highway numbers are dead on, while I usually get closer to 23/24 when I drive my car to school only, (no highway) and drive my fiancee's everywhere else.

Her 2003 Toyota Highlander gets 18/22.

2005 Mercedes ML350 SUV

Fuel Type - Premium Gasoline

MPG (city) 15

MPG (highway) 18

MPG (combined)16

These are bogus numbers for Los Angeles traffic. I'm lucky if I get 10 MPG and it cost $62.90 to fill up yesterday, though I used good ol' 87 octane. Mercedes recommends Premium, but all I've noticed with Premium is that my wallet is lighter.

The wife has a 2004 Lexus RX330 though next year, she'll get a hybrid. Supposedly, the Hybrid's aren't getting much better mileage than the regular version, but it's supposed to get better each year.

Hey; idiots need a friend once in a while if for no other reason then to keep them from accidentally offing themselves. ;)

My Silverado gets about 18 (this site says 16)

Mine gets close to that, too, about 18.5 in mixed driving and about 20 highway.

My wife's car, a 2006 CR-V gets 24 mpg running around town and about 27 highway, so the site's listing of 25 combined is about right.

Wife drives a 2004 Malibu, 6cyl. Combined 26mpg

I drive a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4. Combined 18mpg

Needless to say, we pretty much only use the Jeep for camping and me driving 2 miles to work everyday.

Rain Man...

Yes I am. I find it to be a very dependable car.

It's not a camaro but it goes as fast as I want it too.

I just think of it this way. I pay half (or less) of what most other people do to drive the same distance.

At 3.00 per gallon, it's a great car.

According to that site, my 2003 Ford F150 is supposed to get 16 and 20. However, my own calculations have shown it to get 13 and 15.

My 94 GMC Suburban w/ 42 gallon tank gets 14 mpg combined.

It's always a special treat when I can find a pump that doesn't auto shut off at $75, and I get the thrill of hitting triple digits when I fill up.

Fortunately, most weeks I don't even put 75 miles on it.

Heh, I always thought it was funny that CC companies(or is it just Visa?) required that you could only get $50 at a time. With the way prices jumped up last year, that $50 just doesn't cut it. Even with my Ford F150(25 gallon tank). I did manage to get in something like $57 about 2 weeks ago. I imagine my next fillup is gonna run $60 or so.

Gas prices are going crazy! Fortunately I don't have to drive that much, just for the normal errands and to work/home.

03 Mustang GT, my car - 18 city 26 highway. Pretty accarate, last trip I took I did average 26 mpg. But the city all depends on how I drive and I didn't get the car to drive it like an old lady.

04 Escape, wife's rig - 19 city 25 highway. I got 28 mpg on a trip to Ohio one time, had one heck of a tail wind. Another time right after Katrina hit I went from FT. Campbell, KY to Columbia MO on one tank, didn't take the time to figure out the milage but that was unbelievable. Again had really strong tail winds.

they don't put "real" trucks i guess. they didn't show my ton dodge diesel either. but the last time i checked it w/a good combo of highway and around town i got 15.5. not too bad for that size truck
