Sen. Harry Reid: U.S. Has No Military Option in Iran
The Bush administration is relying too heavily on other countries in the international effort to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, according to Sen. Harry Reid. Reid, D-Nev., said the administration should be taking the lead, but instead is relying on Germany, France and Great Britain to convince Iran to end its uranium enrichment program.

David Lee Roth Fired as Howard Stern Replacement
Well, that didn't take long. Rocker-turned-radio host David Lee Roth, who accepted the no-win task of replacing ratings king Howard Stern in January, was bounced from the airwaves Friday after barely three months on the air in New York, Philadelphia, Boston and four other markets. "I was booted, tossed, and it's going to cost somebody," Roth said on his last show, intimating that his lawyers would go after CBS Radio for the full compensation due from his reported $4 million contract. The timing of the move was interesting: It arrived just days before the Roth show's first Arbitron numbers. CBS Radio spokeswoman Shavonne Harding said the company would have an announcement soon on its plans. She declined any other comment, and would not say who will replace the former Van Halen frontman on Monday's morning drive time shift. Roth said he was only told about the syndicated show's demise while riding in a car to the WFNY-FM studios in Manhattan.

Kennedy: Laura Bush 'Enormously Elegant'
Even President Bush’s leading Senate critic Ted Kennedy has nothing but praise for first lady Laura Bush, calling her "enormously elegant.” Appearing on Larry King’s CNN talk show to discuss politics and plug his new book "America Back on Track,” Sen. Kennedy was asked where he was on 9/11 – and he revealed that he shared the impact of that tragedy with Laura Bush. On Sept. 11, 2001, Laura was scheduled to testify before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee about the need to improve reading instruction. Kennedy said he was preparing for the hearing and "the phone rang in my office. It was my wife calling. The first plane had crashed ... I thought this is unusual, distressing, bizarre. "And then the second plane crashed and we obviously knew it was something and tried to get a hold of Mrs. Bush and she was already in the building, in the Russell Building.

John Kerry Thinking 'Hard' About Hillary Challenge
Sen. John Kerry said Thursday that he's thinking "hard" about making a second run for the White House, a move that would pit him against presumptive Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton. "I will make that decision toward the end of the year, but I'm thinking about it hard," Kerry told the Latin Economic Forum at the United Nations, joking that if he can pick up the 60,000 votes in Ohio that cost him the 2004 election, he'd have the race sewn up. Most observers say the Massachusetts Democrat doesn't have a chance at stealing the nomination away from Mrs. Clinton - who has 43 percent support among party faithful to Kerry's meager 10 percent, and a fundraising juggernaut that is hellbent on pricing all challengers out of the race. The failed 2004 presidential candidate, however, has a plan to defeat Hillary, which almost no one noticed when he unveiled it two weeks ago.

Since launching FIR, we have had a remarkable record of success understanding trends and piggybacking our investment recommendations on them.
We continue to have great success across a diversified spectrum of investments. Our 2004 investment recommendations are up 46% on average compared to just 15% for the S&P.
OK, so what have we done lately, you ask? Our 2005 investments have risen an average of 22% compared to just 6% for the S&P. Not bad.
Our success has nothing to do with luck or a "crystal ball." We just believe in understanding trends, and riding the right ones at the right time—avoiding the imposters along the way—and then acting on our intelligence to know when it's time to step aside.
But it's not that easy for the average investor to accomplish on his or her own. You need to have a source you can rely on.
