I'm moving to Kansas City in a couple of weeks, and I was wondering what some of the best golf courses to play are and how much are the green fees? I've only really played at Ironhorse in Leawood and it seemed like a great course to play for the money, but it's going to be a long drive for me living on the Missouri side in KC.

Wolf Creek and Dub's Dread have a reputation of being tough courses.

I used to play Tomahawk Hills a lot when I lived in KC ... if for no other reason that I loved teeing off the cliff on 9 and 18 and then running to the edge to see if/where my shot landed on the green.

I've spent some time on Deer Creek. It's pretty good. Don't let #1 fool you. That's a pretty hokey hole but everything gets better after that.

I've not played a lot of golf since I moved here. In fact, I've played once in 2 years. That's pretty pathetic for me.

I used to be a 2 or 3 skip, but I don't play much since college golf so I'm probably about a 5 or 6 now.

We used to play that a lot, it is fun.

Whereabouts in the area?

If in JoCo, I'd agree with ROY. Sycamore Ridge is a great course. Designed by Jim Colbert. It's got new fairways as of last year and they play great.

Course, I hit so few fairways...

I haven't played a lot of courses, because I'm not good enought o spend huge dollars on a course, yet,
But one I really like is Winterstone in East Independence.

I remember that course! Very cool. On the Kansas side. Also on the KS side is Sunflower Hills. Lots of blind shots, going over the hill. I miss KC.

All I have in FL are flat courses - although our town has about 70 courses to choose from. All year long Baby.

Nope...I've cleared out my extra inventory for the most part. I sold my Pings to HemiEd. The Cobras I offered for sale here for $275 shipped went for $325 on Ebay. I also sold an extra 2 ball putter and 3 wood. My bag is set for this year...though I'm interested in a new driver...possibly!
