View Full Version : People have no rhythm, no rhythm at all.

I'm doing a little work, and there's a concert on TV for a band called "The String Cheese Incident." The music actually isn't bad, but they keep cutting to shots of the crowd, and they're concentrating on people who are either dancing or having grand mal seizures. Ninety percent of these doofuses are jumping around and waving their arms, and they aren't even close to moving with the beat of the music. How can you like music enough to go to a concert, and then not even understand music enough to be able to follow the beat? For the love of god, if you can't figure it out, just synchronize yourself with the drummer, or look around and copy the women or something.

I think someone may have just released a bunch of sarin out there or something.

I ceased attempting to dance when my four year old looked at me recently while I was putting my thing down to Sirius First Wave and said, "Daddy? Does your back hurt again?"

I saw your subject header, and just knew that you had seen me dance, and decided to expose my terrible secret.

But it wasn't about me, so my secret is safe.

Damn! :banghead:

I thought more than one doofus was a doofi.

I'm assuming most of these people are white

There's one doofus right in the front row with no shirt, a beard, and a pony tail, and whatever he's doing, I wish he would stop. It's embarrassing for the Moslems to be seeing this stuff.

If the doofi were still on their feet it was probably petite mal.

What is this rhythm thing you are talking about?

BTW, is rhythm the longest word in the English language in which "y" is the only vowel?

You may be right. The movements point toward grand mal, but the fact that few of them have swallowed their tongues might mean petite mal.

It's no better than a tie, along with one of my favorite words - syzygy.

I was on the Plaza the other day and I saw a black guy in dreads break dancing to Ring My Bell.

I was all kinds of confused.

I have rythym. :harumph:

And I'm white.

True story....a neighbor girl (friend) of mine growing up, scored some tickets to the Prince concert in KC during HS. Instead of inviting one of her many black male suitors, Yolanda insisted that I go with her because as she put it, "I trust you, boy. I know we is friends, but you ain't gonna try to have my panties off before we gits home. Besides, even as a cracker you got more rhythm than most of the bruthas on the block." I was one of three white people on the "floor" for that concert.

Unfortunately, age and alcohol diminish those skills as Morphius and a few others who witnessed by drunken boogie during Midnight Express's sets at Nzoner's 37Forever gig last year will attest to.:banghead:

Here is proof that some people have rhythm...

Exhibit A. My 4 year old, playing airdrums.

Maybe its because they were listening to Wham!
"So I'm never gonna dance again, guilty feelings got no rythym"

That is a future drummer right there! My 3 year old does an awesome air guitar, we should get an air singer and form a band.

Neither does alcohol but a lot of folks disagree when they are using it.
