What I'm hoping for here is, that posters will find profiles and scouting reports from the top prospects at each of the positions of need for the Chiefs.

I'll use Laz's "rankings" from Draftdaddy.com, to start these threads...I hope you don't mind Laz; Draftdaddy's are a good place to start....

There are lots of "free sites" with profiles and scouting reports out there....this is the place to put all the stuff for WRs. However, if you have access to a premium site (and you have the right to cut and paste, with appropriate crediting of sources) and can post the profiles and scouting reports of the top prospects, or intriguing prospects that you would like to pimp/promote.....here's your chance. :thumb:

DRAFTX.com VALUE
71.5 http://www.nflfans.com/images/show100x13.gif (http://www.nflfans.com/x/2006/showplayer.php?key=Ko Simpson*&legend=yes)Pros: Versatile, productive, good in all aspects of DB play. Still tapping his potential. Good size and frame. Has experience and maturity despite being an underclassman.
Cons: Doesn't have top end speed and struggles in agility drills, has excelled against weaker competition. Just needs to get better in general with experience, still a bit raw. Draft Exchange Analysis:
*HAS DECLARED FOR 06 DRAFT*

2004 SEC Freshman of the Year by the Associated Press
2004 Freshman All-America by the Football Writers Assocation of America
2004 Freshman All-America by The Sporting News
2004 All-SEC Second Team by the Coaches and AP
SEC Defensive Player of the Week for game vs. Arkansas in 2004
2005 SEC Preseason All-SEC First Team

2005 Preseason >> All-America and All-SEC candidate ... Missed the majority of spring practice with a hand injury ... Looks to build on a 2004 season in which he was recognized as the SEC's Defensive Freshman of the Year by the Associated Press and was a Freshman All-America selection by several publications.

Ko Simpson #10
Safety
South Carolina
Ht: 6'1
Wt: 201

Strenghts: Good size from a height perspective. Very strong. Excellent playmaker, good hands, adjusts well to the ball in the air. Will come up with big interceptions. Very strong against the run, solid tackler.

Weaknesses: Doesn't have great speed, but makes up for it with good instincts and overall smart play.

Comments: Sat out a year after high school. Is already 22, but has just two years of college football experience. Had 7 interceptions in two years at South Carolina, but 6 came during his freshman campaign. Has huge upside when you consider how productive he was, but still has room to improve.

DRAFTX.com VALUE
70.5 http://www.nflfans.com/images/show100x13.gif (http://www.nflfans.com/x/2006/showplayer.php?key=Pat Watkins&legend=yes)Pros: Playmaker at safety, can read plays superbly and shows great athleticism and hands to get to balls to pick them off. Great height and shows very good speed as well. Prototypical size once he continues to put on muscle. Willing in run support.
Cons: More lanky than built, but has the frame to continue to add weight. Hasn't faired as well in man coverage, and plays his man with a lot of cushion. Just needs to continue to polish his overall game and get stronger. Draft Exchange Analysis:
At Florida State: The Seminoles' starter at the free safety position for the second consecutive season and one of the top players at his position in the nation...pre-season All-ACC First-Team selection by Athlon Sports' Football Annuals...rated as the No. 6 free safety in the nation by The Sporting News...has started 13 consecutive games entering the 2005 season...has played 36 consecutive games during his career and has not missed playing in a game since his freshman season ...has played in three bowl games during his career - Sugar as a freshman against Georgia, Orange as a sophomore against Miami and Gator against West Virginia as a junior...earned starting assignments in the Orange and Gator Bowls...enters the 2005 season ranked second in ACC career interceptions with seven - only one behind Jimmy Williams of Virginia Tech.

Pat Watkins #22
Safety
Florida State
Ht: 6'4
Wt: 200

Strenghts: Excellent size. Very good ball skills. Adjust well to the ball after it is thrown. Surprisingly fluid and has quick feet for a guy of his stature. Solid in zone coverage. A smart, productive player.

Weaknesses: Good height, but lacks ideal strength.Isn't as good of a tackler as you might expect. Slow to identify plays, doesn't step up to help in run support enough.

Comments: Isn't exactly an NFL-ready player but is smart and has the ability to improve.

70.0 http://www.nflfans.com/images/show100x13.gif (http://www.nflfans.com/x/2006/showplayer.php?key=Darnell Bing*&legend=yes)Pros: Immediate impact player on the 2 time national champions, plays hard and fast, makes big plays. Solid in run support and good ball-skills.
Cons: Lack of experience is the biggest drawback. Susceptible in man coverage, and sometimes can get overagressive.

Height: 6-2 | Weight: 227 | 40-Time: 4.53

Strengths:
Has excellent size...An explosive natural athlete...Has outstanding instincts...Does a great job of supporting the run...Tough, strong and physical...Can really lay the lumber...A playmaker who has a knack for being around the ball and making the big play...Productive and experienced having started three years for the Trojans.

Weaknesses:
Does not have great timed speed...Is not very natural in coverage...Goes for the big hit rather than the secure tackle too often...Can be too aggressive and will overpursue at times...Durability is a concern as he has a history of minor injuries.

Notes:
Was a part of the famed 2002 Long Beach Poly high school class that also included Winston Justice (USC), Marcedes Lewis (U.C.L.A.), Hershel Dennis (USC), and Manuel Wright (Miami Dolphins)...Did not qualify to play out of high school and spent 2002 at Long Beach (Calif.) City College...When all is said and done this guy is the type who always seems to come through with the game changing play

72.5 http://www.nflfans.com/images/show100x13.gif (http://www.nflfans.com/x/2006/showplayer.php?key=Donte Whitner*&legend=yes)Pros: Hard hitter who shows up every game, consistent player. Shows the ability to make the big play in big times. Vocal guy who makes his presence felt. Intelligent player with a good work ethic.
Cons: Not the biggest guy, doesn't have top athletic skills, and not very experienced (21 years old and 2005 was his only full season starting). Draft Exchange Analysis:
Career Notes:
Hard-hitting playmaker ... will be in his first full year as the starter at strong safety ... has played in 23 of 25 games the past two years and always comes to play ... split time with Tyler Everett in the first two games of 2004, then took over as the starter and started the next five games before suffering a knee injury in the first half of the Indiana game ... combined for 39 tackles in the three games immediately proceeding Indiana (Northwestern, Wisconsin and Iowa) and was playing the best football of his career before being hurt ... underwent arthroscopic surgery on the Tuesday following Indiana and missed the next game (Penn State) ... returned the following week and played 11 minutes at Michigan State ... sat out the next week at Purdue (where the Buckeyes were missing three of their four starters in the defensive backfield), but returned for the Michigan game and recorded four tackles, including a key 11-yard sack, in 15 minutes ... had a game-high eight tackles in the Alamo Bowl ... teams with free safety Nate Salley to give the Buckeyes two outstanding safeties.

Donte Whitner #9
Safety
Ohio State
Ht: 5'11
Wt: 205

Strenghts: Elite speed for a safety. Plays with a ton of energy. Very effective against the run and as a pass rusher. Has the ability to play man coverage against bigger receivers. A solid tackler and a hard hitter. Has an excellent work ethic and plenty of experience against top competition.

Weaknesses: Doesn't have ideal size. Had knee surgery after the 2004 season.

Comments: A very tough player. Once played in a game just a week after having arthroscopic surgery on his knee. Underrated because of his size, but he does not play like a 5'11, 200lbs guy. Similar to Bob Sanders, but has even more upside
