I was referring to how that was an Infrared satellite image of the clouds, rather than a radar image. It is showing the height of clouds in that image versus what a radar shows, which uses microwaves to reflect the moisture falling from clouds..more or less. If that was a radar image, good lord...Northern Arkansas, Southern Missouri, and SE Kansas would be under a lake right about now.

I saw a guy get zapped by what you might call a stringer. We were roofing a house when a storm started rolling in. We had one old roofer halfway down the ladder and the guy that owned the roofing company had his hand on the top of the ladder. Lightning struck a tree about 150 yards from the house and a 'stringer' latched on to the ladder. Ralph just dropped and hit the ground, Gary waited a few minutes and hustled down the ladder. The rest of us were young and somewhat resiliant and jumped from the roof onto a pile of dirt that was excavated from under the house.

After that episode we all left at the first sign of dark clouds.

Yikes - close call, man.

I've chased tornadoes for a few years now, and I'm actually more frightened of lightning than anything else because I was playing soccer as a kid and our wet field was struck from what seemed like a bolt out of nowhere. Wrong. I counted Gochiefs an hour ago. He has 32.

To say that you are weirdly obsessed by this doesn't begin to cover it. Now I know why the mods are torturing you, and I applaud their efforts.

Anywho, I did the search again. Tying in Gochiefs again got me 70 threads, and it did show the threads started by Golixbutscrale, Gopaint, Goatcheese and who knows what other iterations of Gochiefs...

This will be my last post on the subject because it really just ain't worth the time.

I love dark, rainy days. I just do a blunt and watch it storm.

What's a blunt?

I love it, unless it remains like this for days. Then I get tired of it and am ready for the sun again.

I have 32 threads over 100 or so... pretty weak.

But I do have 15 threads with over 1200 posts! heh.

That second number seemed oddly impressive.

I did a search for 1000+ post threads, and came up with 6 for you, only 5 of which were over 1200. No idea why there is a discrepancy.

And I also note they're all game-day threads, which seems to me to be taking credit for an idea that isn't exactly original or overwhelming. :D :p

HOW TO STOP PEOPLE FROM BUGGING YOU ABOUT GETTING MARRIED

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Hey, I get into town at around 8pm but have to go to the site in Chandler and fix their crap. So, I could be done by midnight or I may be able to put them off until morning. Or, I am staying until Sunday morning so Saturday is a possibility. I have your cell number if it is still the same

I guess I should've asked first... in what country do they use the definition of spliff you're thinking of? Cause... you realize spliff is used in the USA too, right? And it's not the same thing as a blunt.

OK... yeah... it was meant to be a weak joke, knowing that Donger was from Europe. The reverse was told to me when I was in Holland and had never heard of a spliff. But now you've gone and kicked my joke in the nuts and it's not funny at all....

Just for that I'm rolling one tonight and I shall blow it in your general direction.......
