i know there was a weather delay (rain), but I don't see any in the area on weather.com, nor has there been any rain in the area for some time...so what's the deal-io??

40 minute rain delay. It was light, but wanted to keep the field covered until it stopped. Now, in the bottom of the 1st, it's raining lightly again.

Speaking of which, my girlfriend and I started having sex last Tuesday (I know, huge step). Anyway, she started her "monthly" ordeal on Saturday, so we haven't had sex since Friday night....and the Royals haven't lost since then.

I've brought this to her attention, and she's a bit pissed that I'm associating the two. But hey, it's the Royals. What can I do?

He's doing to the Royals what Lamar let Shaaf and Steadman do to the Chiefs for 20 years. He tolerated those bean counters and their "crowds" of 20, 000 in a stadium that seats 78,000. I thought that surely Lamar's calculator was broken if he couldn't see lost revenue written all over that. Each game day there would be airplanes flying over Arrowhead towing "Dump Shaaf and Steadman" banners. Finally, he did.

Ah, therein lies the problem. I am watching the play by play and CBS Sportsline didn't show it as an intentional walk. Anyway, you got a point. Better to take a walk than chase bad pitches.

I suspect that Glass himself is a bean counter. He was one of the guys that denied Sam Walton's idea of a discount store chain. Yep, the dude actually was against the idea until Sam overcame him. Glass doesn't impress me at all other than the position he has attained.
