I scanned the first 2 pages for Voyager's insight but came up empty. I hear there are some great safties available this year.

Trade down in round one to avoid taking an overrated CB and pick up additional pick in round 3. Draft as follows...
1...Richard Marshall, CB, 5'11.1" 192, 4.42, 38VJ...complete CB with playmaking skills...ready to start soon...goodbye Julian Battle.
2...Darryl Tapp, DE, 6'1.5" 256, 4.81, 27BP, 33VJ...good pass rusher and also a good run defender...poor man's version of D.Freeney, DE.
3...David Thomas, TE, 6'3.1" 252, 4.67, 19BP, 37VJ...Chiefs' new #2 TE...goodbye Kris Wilson.
3...Roman Harper, S, 6'0" 200, 4.50, 19BP, 34VJ...take over for Jerome Woods.
5...LeKevin Smith, DT, 6'3" 315, 5.00, 30BP...oust Siavii from the roster.
6...Greg Jennings, WR, 5'11" 197, 4.43, 36VJ...over 3500 yds. receiving at Western Michigan...new #4 WR.
6...Chris Morris, C, 6'3.4" 300, 5.30, 33BP...backup center with good strength.
7...J.D. Runnels, FB, 5'11" 240, 4.70...good blocker and pass catcher.

I did not draft a QB. I want every draft pick to be ready to play in this pivotal year for KC. I am replacing Ray Edwards with D.Tapp. Tapp looks to be a real good player. This is my best draft to date as the draft gets closer.

I kinda like Voyager's draft, but some of the comments make no sense.

I especially like:

3...Roman Harper, S, 6'0" 200, 4.50, 19BP, 34VJ...take over for Jerome Woods.

Woods sits on the bench last time I checked...

Goodbye Julian Battle? The same guy that was on the verge of becoming the starter opposite Surtain until his injury in the '05 training camp? That doesn't make sense. Unless, of course, you mean Battle would be relegated to nickel corner.

I'm guessing we're going to draft Mike Peterson...err, Manny Lawson.

He can sack the QB from anywhere on the field, walks on water, and saves kittens from burning buildings in the offseason...

Guess that bumps SuperRoy off the roster. Only so many kitties need savin in one town.

I like it. However, I'm not sold on Marshall as I believe there may be better CB's available. But, I wouldn't be disappointed with Marshall either.

I can tell you this though- Jennings will not be available come the 6th round- he is soaring up the charts and I've heard a number of teams are eyeing this kid.

I like the Tapp pick and LeKevin Smith- I think they both can be steals in the draft, but more importantly- they'll certainly pan out better than Siavii.

Good point, Mr. WilliamTheIrish.

In the "modern era", it seems you can count the Chiefs' impact draft picks on two hands ... perhaps just one.

For anyone who's even remotely observant, the guy we draft may well be a backdrop to the Tye Hill pic.
