I'll disagree.

The only beer that sicks me out more is the Coors attempt at the low carb Mich Ultra knock-off...

Indeed.

I suspect there were a number of events that culminated in your misinterpretation of the actual taste of the swill you ingested...

You must have gotten a bad batch. Seriously. I also think it's better on-tap.

Actually just had it for the first time this weekend at OU. $1.75 draw served with a slice of orange which I am ashamed to say actually set the beer off nicely.

Speaking of beer I might have been tired but I swear I saw the ending of a commercial for Heineken LIGHT. And with that sight the ground shook with what could only have been the entire continent of Europe laughing at us.

What brought you to Norman?

One of my good buddies was in their production of Twelfth Night so myself and a counterpart from KSU made the trip down to see him and party. I was actually really impressed with how nice the campus was, The red brick and architecture of the buildings was cool. And it is blatantly obvious that OU is a football school.

Not sure if I get why you won't pay for them other than there are better beers around depending on the choices at the bar.

Don't think you have much risk of that. Its not brewed in Denver and its owned by a publicly traded company.

You're sure you're not thinking of Blvd Zon? I order my Blue Moon without the fruit, FWIW. Don't get me wrong, I don't go out of my way to drink Blue Moon but it's the best thing on tap at my local Wild Wings. If they had Blvd Pale Ale, I'd probably never drink Blue Moon.

They are actually pretty similar beers IMO. ZON has more of a "infused fruit and spice" flavor to it.

Blue Moon is a good beer to starty drinking when you are looking to move away from the regular domestics, but it really is a perversion of the traditional Begian White Ale.

If you like that, try Hoegaarden, Wittekirke, White Rascal, Paulander; all MUCH better White Ales

Actually, it's Belgian and it is their take of a German Wheat Beer. In Belgium, at least in the "old days" there was a brewery on every street corner...heaven I say, heaven.

However, if any of you odn't like that one - don't ever try a Lambic

Agreed...the Paulander is one of the best overall Beer brands in the world. Oktoberfest, Pils, etc.

I Had some bottled micro-brew in Texas in 1992 'Cecil White' Belgium Ale
not bad...

Can't find it anymore, was good local domestic version...

I like 1554 better, but you rarely see it in bars. New Belgium's got a pretty good line up of brews.

I think I need to correct myself, I don't think Paulander is a "white" ale but it's damn close.

Hey, are you sure it wasn't "Celis" White Ale? That was a Texas product, then it got bought by Miller and now has been bought by Michigan Brewing Company and is produced up there.

You should try Blue Moon with Guinness..... poored 1/2 and 1/2 like a Black and Tan..... I believe it's called a Belgian Waffle....

I don't think I'd drink Blue Moon much, but I had a friend buy me one mixed with Guinness, and it was actually very good.....

Mixing guiness w/ anything other that guiness is a mortal sin.
