Titans are sunk by young but I do like White in the 2nd...

Jets should have shored up that line they look pretty good to me.

Denver's draft was waaay overrated. I've got to go with Philly, NE, or Pittsburgh at this point.

If Cutler is as good as I think he is, Denver had the best draft.

The Giants, with Kiwi as their first pick?? Pass.

Agree wholeheartedly with Hamas.

Like my Bronco buddy put it yesterday:

"we needed a go-to TE, we got a project. we need a go-to WR, we got a guy who is that, IF he can play. and Jay Cutler was a HUGE reach for us"

Don't worry, he isn't :D. Cutler is a product of Chris Mortensen and SEC hype. I'll personally enjoy watching him throw 22 picks a year at Incestco.

The Giants traded down to get him.

IMO- the first four rounds for the Giants is pretty damn good:

1 32 Kiwanuka, Mathias DE 6-6 265 Boston College
2 44 Moss, Sinorice WR 5-8 184 Miami (Fla.)
3 96 Wilkinson, Gerris ILB 6-3 239 Georgia Tech
4 124 Cofield, Barry DT 6-4 303 Northwestern

Are you serious?

They grabbed Lewis way too early and his teammate Drew is considered by many to be overrated.

1 28 Lewis, Marcedes TE 6-6 262 UCLA
2 60 Drew, Maurice RB 5-7 206 UCLA

Steelers, Eagles, and Pats. I would say the Texans have actualy improved their team as well.

The Cardinals have done a great job, too. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Denny Green is a Hell of a talent evaluator. I was laughed at a few years ago, when I said I would have traded with their drafts and now look at what has quietly been assembled in Arizona. They've still got work to do, but their team is on the rise.

I like the Texans (although it was easy picking 1st, but I like their later picks too). Pats draft was solid too, although I don't know why they took bac-to-back TE's. Jets draft is solid too. Eagles got some gems.

Bills have a real nice draft. Whitner should turn out to be a star and they made up for the McCargo pick with the rest of the draft

Yeah, that was a kickass selection... Indy did pretty well with their RB in Round 1 as well.

Sorry, but I like the Cheifs draft. If Brodie turns out to be the next Trent Green-we got a steal. It finally seems like the Chiefs really followed a set plan and got the guys the truley wanted.

Unfortunately I think the Donks has been very good. Eagles also did a nice job. I think the Colts has been pretty bad.

Why does everybody think the Donks have a good draft? None of their picks are that exciting or good for that matter. Cutler has a chance, but the rest seem to be reaches.

I do like the Chiefs draft as well- I expected them to pick Tamba, but I think Pollard is a bit of a reach for the second round- I'm not saying he's not a good player and I do hope he lives up to the potential of the pick, I just think there were better quality defensive picks to be had at that time. But, I'll give the team a thumbs up for picking a Bonecrusher and maybe he will help set the tone for the defensive backfield.

Croyle could be an absolute steal and finally remove the QB jinx we have in drafting. I'm not sold on the Maxey pick nor am I sold on the Tre' pick- I believe they both could've been had in later rounds or free agency. The Webb pick may be the steal of the draft though- I'm very happy with the Webb pick.

Off the top of my head, the Eagle and the Broncos got out the best. I'd trade our draft for either of theirs.

I'm really ticked off that the Broncos got Dumervil. He was one player that I really wanted.

Getting a QB like Cutler was enough to make their draft good if he works out but Javon Walker pre-injury was a All Pro playmaker. If he comes back healthy getting a young All Pro caliber WR for just a late 2nd rounder is excellent. Scheffler has a lot of talent and a sleeper at TE. Dummervil and Esliger are high production guys at the college level. Eslinger is very similar to Ben Hamilton who worked out well for them. And Brandon Marshall looked pretty impressive in the one post season all star game I watched.

I like the Jets draft. Mangini is off to a good start. It was probably a boring draft for Jets fans because they took two linemen in the first but it all starts up front, very smart picks. I think it's tough to pass on Leinart but then again if you can't protect him that pick is pointless. It helps protect Pennington and Ramsey, and then they got Clemens to go with them.

I like the Cutler pick for Denver. I think he'll be a solid QB. I'd rank him 2nd behind Leinart, and he probably will have a chance to be better than Leinart. He might throw the ball downfield as well as anyone in the big 3. He is very lucky in that he's with a coach in Shanahan who will play to his strengths.

The Titans got big names but I don't know, I still think Young throws too many ducks up. I question his downfield accuracy against NFL coverage and pressure. And Lendale White... he has the chance to be good, I really like his talent, but I'm afraid Tennessee wasn't a good place to go to be focused and work hard. Messy situation, coaching staff might be on the way out, etc, etc.

If, if, if, and if.

Too many question marks to consider their draft one of the best. The one with the highest potential payoff? Certainly. But BEST? Not hardly.

There isn't a signle player taken from #1 overall to Mr Irrelevant that you can't put a "if" in the same sentence.

Philly killed it. The Jets showed some brains by solidifying thier O-Line for the next ten years. The Texans got some players. Those three look like the best to me.

The Bills took a lot of criticism for "reaching" for Whitner and McCargo, but they ended up with four players who were projected to go in the 1st and 2nd round - Whitner, McCargo, Youboty and Simpson. Plus, they grabbed Williams in the 5th. On paper it seems like the Bills ended up with some good defensive players even if they did reach a bit.

Some of those if's are bigger than others, especially if you trade multiple picks for them or have to sign them to big $$$ contracts.

It's way too early to throw grades out there... half of the players in Round 1 are more than likely going to have shorter careers than those selected in Round 4.

Shit happens, let's revisit this class in 2008.

Middle of the pack, of course. Just enough to sell the tickets, not enough to risk maybe being bad the next year.
