Forget positions of need. I haven't been able to keep up who's off the board. But can you tell me of any familiar name sliding to the 7th? Or do you know of any (IYO) sleeper types left that my be available in the 7th?

jspchief

I'd say Ed Hinkel would be a good 7th rounder.

I am compiling a list of players who have flown over KC as we speak.

Rod Wright, although I think he must've eaten a live baby as far as he is sliding.

He's still there? How'bout WR Martin Nance?

Nance is available.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Frankie

I'd Take Nance in the 7th w/o blinking. Between him, Cro and Webb there's got to be a future solid contributor or two. If there's actually a football god, that is.

Frankie

How about DT Babatunde Oshinowo?

Spicy McHaggis

What about Baskett from New Mexico, I wouldn't mind adding him or Nance, or both if we sign one as an UFA, GO CHIEFS

You all got to see it here first, banyon calls the draft a failure and that the Chiefs will lose the division.

How about another New Mexico guy, Dontrell Moore, RB, this guy was productive for 4 years, time to start grooming a RELIABLE backup, especially if Priest doesn't ome back. GO CHIEFS.

I wouldn't mind a backup RB. I like Terrence Whitehead out of Oregon.

Dee Webb!

Maybe just cuz he's a Gator, but I think he is probably the best CB still available. I think he has fallen a bit because of character issues, but he has the tools. I know that gives us like 15 CB's, but we need one to stand out.

In retrospect he shouldn't have hired Anttaj Hawthorne's agent. There seem to be some promotional issues with that guy.

As long as I'm momentarily hung up on names, How's the talent level of CB Darrell Hunter of Miami (ohio)? Hell of a great name for a DB.

This'll probably get shouted down, but maybe we should take a flyer on D.J. Shockley. He might beat out Huard and provide some competition to keep Croyle motivated (being old SEC rivals and all).

Vick understudy. makes sense. If you are going to organize your offense around Vick's abilities and he's likely to get hurt, have someone under him who can at least emulate a "poor-man's" version of the abilities so you don't have to change everything mid season.

Moving up to take Jimmy Williams, Falcons draft is looking ok.

Maybe Vick can teach Shockley to act arrogant when he has his first 150 yd 2 TD 2 Interception game.

The Croyle article in the Star mentioned the Chiefs might keep four QBs. Does Printers have the ability to play a "Slash" type role and play WR for a year or two?
