View Full Version : If they had all been available, which would you have taken?

I know that Greenway went a little before us, but for a while it looked like he was going to fall. Of the following six players (see poll), which one would you have selected if you were Helmethair Peterson?

None. I would have traded down and picked up an additional pick.

I actually wanted Jimmy Williams or Manny Lawson, both of whom were available when we picked.

I would have taken Hali but would have given serious consideration to Williams.

In the 2nd round I would have taken Wroten but would have given Winston and Simpson and Giles a hard look. (Giles and Simpson weren't taken until the 4th so I probably would have reached in the 2nd but would have nabbed one of them in the 3rd.)

My day one most likely would have been Hali, Wroten and Simpson.

I probally would have went with Hali as well. Williams would have been tempting but there was good depth in the defensive backfield.

I wanted Hali. We got Hali.

YAY

I was pretty much convinced we were going to go with Lawson, so when Tags said Hali I literally yelled in celebration.

From those players disreguarding the someone else option I'd still go with Hali. Williams is the only other one even worth considering.

I agree with the Hali then Wroten scenario. It was painful to watch the 4th round and all of the players that slipped begin to trickle away (Gabe Watson would have been a great pickup for us in the 4th, I think).

This poll shows similarity with my own thoughts. I wanted Hali, but when Williams slipped I changed my vote and wanted him instead. Either one was good, though.

I would've taken either Hali or Williams. I would've taken the full 15 minutes and then probably selected Williams.

In the 2nd though I would have took Ashton Youboty, in the 3rd I would probally would have took Croyle. Later rounds would be hard to say even though I probally would have took a chance on Rod Wright.

I would've traded down with our second for an additional pic, and landed Richard Marshall in the 2nd, Watson and Croyle in the 3rd .

I wanted us to take Manny Lawson. Even though we didn't take him, I'm happy with the Hali pick. He was the person I would have picked had Lawson not been available.

I felt the same way.

Hindsight tells us that Youboty in the 2nd would have been a HORRIBLE reach.

I liked Jimmy Williams but the word is that he's BI-freaking-POLAR. And given how he fell past a bunch of CB-needy teams, i'm actually glad in hindsight that we passed as well.

Jonathan Joseph wouldn't have pissed me off but i'm actually pretty happy with Hali.
