I guess I'll start it.

Fat elvis on the mound. Last time around he looked pretty damn good. So far so good. Through 3, has gone 1-2-3 in all of them.

The draft stole the Royals thunder oh and having 5 wins does that too! They are down 1-0 in the 5th..

So Saturday, they hit a grand slam in the first, have a big lead.. and get rained out. Now a coworker tells me that an outfielder took a ball to the face and broke his jaw???

Only the Royals. :shake: Poor bastards.

I'm glad he left him in. He still looked Ok and was under 100 pitches in a 1-0 game. It's about time we had a pitcher go more than 5 :cuss: innings

Course his pitching motion makes it look like he's gonna throw his arm off on the next pitch.

Who was the outfielder, on the Royals??Looks like there was a bit of exageration involved...

Esteban German left in the sixth because of a bruise and laceration of the mouth after a routine fly ball to center bounced off his face. To be fair, though, German is an infielder who was playing out of position.

I wonder how long its going to take before they finally give up on Berroa? Hes one of the worst clutch hitters ive ever seen and he makes way to many errors for a shortstop. I dont understand why the front office thinks he so good when hes probably the worst player we got right now. freaking bring up blanco or something, couldnt be any worse than berroa is right now

Berroa and Sweeney both need to go along with Redman, Mays, Buck, Sisco, Bell and Baird

CHENZ A!
05-01-2006, 08:35 PM
The whole Berroa thing is even more frustrating, because the guy really can make some spectacular plays, can actually steal a base(if he ever got on), which is more than I can say for anyone else on our team. :banghead:

Jayhawkerman2001
05-01-2006, 08:35 PM
I do believe though that sisco has a lot of upside to him, just not the right coaching. The entire coaching staff needs to go along with Baird. I think glass didnt give baird more money because he knew how baird was with free agent singings. Also from what i remember the pool was fairly thin.

So just get rid of Baird, Sweeney, Bell(and his entire coaching staff), Berroa, Redman and Mays and i think we'd be a much better team than we are now.

Berroa does have insane potential, but it seems he just doesnt care at all. Hes got his guaranteed contract for a while, hes got his money, he doesnt need to do anything extra at all.

And Grudz. He hasn't done crap since he got here.

CHENZ A!
05-01-2006, 08:36 PM
Buck is just plain horrible, he must really "call" agood game, because his defense is crap. How many times has he thrown the ball into center field on a steal? My guess is probably more times than he has got a hit. :cuss:

He's hit pretty well.

And his defense has saved at least 5-10 runs this year.

05-01-2006, 08:40 PM
Grudz might be the only position player we have with "trade value" even though it isn't much.

Jayhawkerman2001
05-01-2006, 08:42 PM
I think the only trade value we can get from anybody is either for Affeldt or Hernandez. Possibly sisco based on his potential or Burgos possibly also.

I beg to differ. For one he is here to play 2nd base. And 2 his bat has been one of the more consistent. He did have a double tonight.

I don't know the answers. I mean on paper, we don't look great, but I still don't think we look THIS horrible. Elarton's pitched well, Affeldt is pitching well, Elvis has done well, Bautista has pitched well, Redman has been okay... Burgos and Dessens have been good in the bullpen, Jimmy Gobble is actually pitching well right now.

Costa has been a pleasant surprise, Sanders and Grudz have been solid pickups... Emil Brown looks okay up there at the plate approach-wise. Teahen has actually hit the ball pretty well the last 2-3 weeks. German has been solid off the bench. I mean there are obviously a ton more things that have gone wrong, but you'd think there were enough positives to win more than 5 games on May 1. I don't have the first clue how to fix it. Seems like we have guys who can do positive things, but never all at the same time. Maybe we're cursed.

Grudz, actually looks very solid and has looked like a professional hitter in this lineup. I think he has done what we've asked for, he's been fairly consistent. The guys that need to wake the **** up are Sweeney, Teahan, and Emil Brown. Sanders will do fine I think and MInkeadoiasszzl we can't expect too much from him other than batting .260 and playing awesome defense. The lineup hasn't even been close to consistent, it hurts when your best two hitters are struggling at the same time.

Sigh....I hope some things get done, i didn't think it would be this bad.

Grudz has been solid, no doubt about it. But, Blanco is tearing it up. I say when July comes around we get what we can for Grudz.
