LIHOP = Let it (9/11) happen on purpose

It never really occurred to me that the Moussaoui case was built upon convicting him for withholding information about the attacks that could have been used to prevent it.

Would such a standard (life in prison/possible death) apply to anyone from within our own government who (hypothetically) had and then withheld similar information that if acted upon might have prevented 9/11.

I believe I heard audio of one of the Jersey Girls, asking this very question.

She actually mentioned George Tenet.

What if someone within the government failed to foil 9/11 by not accepting the perpetrators when offered up on a silver platter beforehand? :hmmm:

Given your non-specific choice of words, I'm not sure anyone could fairly answer your question.

I think you might be thinking of the video clips I linked to.

I do, but I have no idea what "on a silver platter" means.

Is there the possibility that the jury in this trial simply chose to keep him behind bars for the rest of his life rather than to allow him to be a martyr for the cause?

They said the other day that he may end up in a SuperMax here in Colorado. Cell is 60' underground, solid concrete room (including bed, benc, table), 13" B&W TV with three channels (anger management, parenting, and something else), zero contact with the outside world and only one hour a day outdside the 7x12 cell. Sounds worse than death to me. That and no heaven because he didn't die a martyr.

I'm pretty sure that's what happened. Not sure what that has to do with the content of this thread, but in any case, I agree.

Anyway, yes, if it can be proven that that info that may have prevented 9/11 was witheld, then I would expect capital punishment.
