I was watching the start of that game.

Top of the 2nd was hilarious.

Braves try the suicide squeeze, Paul LoDuca tags the runner on the back of the heel, but it's pretty difficult to see.

The umpire calls safe. Lo Duca throws a fit, including slamming the ball down on the ground about a foot in front of the umpire. He's tossed.

While this is going on, the umpires have failed to call time and John Smoltz at first advances to Second, and McCann at 2nd advances to third. The umpires say that Smoltz has to go back, but not McCann.

anyway, Bobby Cox comes out to argue, then gets pissy. He is tossed. Cox does not appreciate this and makes a big show of kicking some dirt around in the basepath.

Demonpenz

ok why would you squeeze against the royals. You know you can put in play against an 85 mph fastball. I have to think that was just practice for later in the year.

i'm talking about redman, he's looked like shit everytime i've watched him. i wonder if that 20 million dollars could have lured a quality pitcher to kc. but the yank fans were right, glass won't spend money made from the luxory tax on the team.

05-07-2006, 01:28 PM

Because it's the Royals.

It was nice to see Huber actually play. He had a walk, a long single, and a good at-bat that resulted in a deep drive to the track. Nice day.

Of course, it has to be spoiled by Kerry Robinson, who is not a major league player, and should not be here. If only we weren't injured as all Hell.

PunkinDrublic
05-07-2006, 03:33 PM
That sucks that one of the few times during the season us Royals fans outside of KC get to see them on TV and we have to listen to listen to that asshat Hawk Harrelson. Cancer can't come soon enough for that guy.
