The goal is to have a place that is an alternative to here. I thought it would be nice to have an alternative to CP other than WP.

Okay. You spelled 'criticism' incorrectly.

A bit too bland. Shouldn't "About", be about the web site, and not a place to post comments? The right column is so big that it swallows up the small text you have there.

Too utilitarian.

So you're not a subscriber to the daily Word from Utility? Do they still run those ads on TV stations in KC?

You mean IE 7? I have viewed it with IE7 on mine and it looks fine.

If you are on a windows box with the PrtScrn button to the right of your function keys. You can then paste into MS Paint, Photoshop or whatever image editor you may have.

It's alright. I restarted and its all there now.

Only suggestions I have are to make the forum statistics and who's online only viewable to admins. It's not really for guests and members, they're more for yourself.

I suggest he stick with Chiefs Info for the lead story.

When looking for feedback on the layout of a website, isn't it standard to use text in a different language, to force people to focus on the actual layout?

It's a little bland. Color scheme isn't terrible, other than the orange text on red background.

I don't think your fonts are well-suited for your website. They're not very readable. A serif font in white on a light grey background isn't the best for reading all that intersting news and commentary about the Chiefs! Here's a webpage that I just found that lets you experiment with different colors and fonts. It also has some good advice about making your sites more readable:

It cuts off the page on my screen. For instance, at the top of the page I see...hiefsZone, below that i see...ome About Schedule Forum. For the story I see...ne 5, 2006..on the top line, then...RETZ: NOT WAITING FOR TY..as the header. So, it more or less cuts off the first letter of every word on the far left of the screen. I'm using Mozilla Firefox.

OK, here you go:

Someone already mentioned a misspelling, you also need a proofreader. I glanced through and noticed that you missed a space after a period-and the writing is stiff, it lacks flow. I used FireFox and it annoyed me that "Forum" opened up in a new tab instead of just going to the forum. The overall style is very simplistic. Blocks of color. Looks primitive. The lead story is about Al Wilson, I would be annoyed by that if I were a Chiefs fan. The pic under "2006 Training Camp" of the TC and preseason schedule is blurry and just links to a full size version of itself. The pic is small enough to fit on the page and it's clumsy the way you have it set up. If anything else springs to mind I'll add it later.

Noted.
I used FireFox and it annoyed me that "Forum" opened up in a new tab instead of just going to the forum. It is not coded to do this. I have viewed it on several different browsers on both Windows and OSX and never had this happen. Has anyone else experienced this?

The overall style is very simplistic. Blocks of color. Looks primitive. That sort of the goal of the design. I want it to be able to load quickly and not be bogged down with lots of giant images.
The lead story is about Al Wilson, I would be annoyed by that if I were a Chiefs fan. I totally understand this. It was posted by someone who may help me out with the site who is also a Donkeys fan. I am also considering the possibility of going with a different domain name and making it an AFC West site instead of just a Chiefs site.

If anything else springs to mind I'll add it later.I was just trying to get some content up and pulled the image from the KC Chiefs site. And no the full size image won't fit. ;)

Thanks!

Made some changes including the domain name and subject of the site. It is going to be just an all around sports site. The goal is for the forums section to be an online sports bar where people cuss and discuss sports.
