Fun fact: baseball games last at least 9 innings, unless it rains.

06-07-2006, 08:03 PM
Where did the Royals find this pitcher?

A Mets castoff I think..
He was once a very highly rated prospect.

He's been solid every time out so far.

ChiefsFire
06-07-2006, 08:03 PM
Keppel was a first rounder from the Mets right?

Jayhawkerman2001
06-07-2006, 08:06 PM
Keppel was a first rounder with the mets, hes only 22 i think and he had surgery on his shoulder i think so they let him go and we got him.

I looked up what Ah Hell Berroa ranks in the mlb in hitting into double plays and hes tied for second in the majors with 11... I really hate angel, that dumb ass that cant play ball....

Count Alex's Losses
06-07-2006, 08:17 PM
The Royals are so good at hitting into double plays you'd think they practice it for hours everyday.

Jayhawkerman2001
06-07-2006, 08:18 PM
They dont need practice, its an innate ability that they gain when they become a KC Royal... If they did that one bible code davinci code thing on Kansas City Royals, they'd probably find double play somewhere or something....

You can't "hit" a touchdown in baseball you dip. Everyone knows that you can only "kick" a touchdown.

Im not picturing in my mind how he stayed on first though, cause they could have forced him out at second... on my screen it showed that each 2 groundouts he stayed on first... thats nearly impossible...

This Keppel guy could be something special. Hes looked prety good so far, and hes been out there at least 4-5 times so far with 2 starts and looked good each time. Usually by now teams have a guy figured out. usually they do good or average the first couple of times then he gets eaten up soon after. Thats how it is with the Royals.

Snyder's not really a kid anymore. He was a first round pick several years ago that, like any decent Royals prospect, has had enough injuries to last a lifetime. Actually, he's probably had more injuries than any of our pitching prospects, which is really saying something. He's a really tall right hander though. Has decent stuff, was actually healthy and pitching well in AAA. Hopefully it translates, it'd be nice if he could give us a lift.
