KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Chiefs General Manager Carl Peterson on Wednesday appointed Ray Farmer director of pro personnel.

Farmer, who spent the past four years as a scout with the Atlantic Falcons, will oversee the scouting of all players with professional experience, including those in NFL Europe and other leagues.

Farmer played for the Duke Blue Devils from 1992-95, and was a fourth-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles. He played linebacker for three seasons before his career was sidelined by a knee injury.

I other teams have done it to us but when was the last time the Chiefs snagged a player from another team's practice squad?
