With a pitcher like Mark "Home Run Derby" Redman on the bump, it's almost a lost cause before the first pitch.

Just showed the Angels pitching coach, former KC Royal pitcher Bud Black.....for a guy who is probably in his mid-40's he looks like he could still play.

I've enjoyed the updates, guys. Thanks.

They are actually showing the game on the Fox Sports Midwest Channel tonight rather than the normal kiss-up to the Cardinals.

I wonder after Redman's little run here some team might cough up a low-level prospect for him.

Fact is we should ditch ANY veteran with any kind of trade value.

We should be shopping:

Mienkewitcz
Grundzielaznek
Sanders
Redman
Elarton
Dessens
Stairs
Graffinino

At some point a fire sale would force us to rush people who aren't ready, and that isn't necessarily a good thing.

Especially with pitchers, we don't need to be doing that.

Redman was actually the pitcher that I thought would be the best of the guys we added. He struggled early on but seems to be pitching better lately. He was a decent pitcher on that Marlins championship team... and really he pitched good last year but had no run support and just kinda fell apart in the 2nd half.

The sorry thing is Redman is our "ace" with a 5.68 era.
