This tube has already killed 3 people, broken a guys neck, punctured lung, and knocked numerous people out cold, yet is still on the market for sale. Probably not for long.

Let me get this straight, somebody buys a gigantic tube called a kite tube, it is big enough to ride ten people... People are pissed because they ride solo on it and get ten feet in the air and die??? MOre then likely from hitting logs, trees or shallow ground, because I wipe out doing over 60 on my jet ski all the time and do not get hurt..

How have people died on these things???

This guy knows how to fly the tube. When it starts to veer you can see him shifting to the other side of the tube and correcting it back. The dude that wiped out didn't know what he/she was doing.

Now, what I would like to see is the Wego kite tube being towed off a wake tower like this boat has. The higer tow point would really get some air under the tube!

It's not the tube that killed the peeps, it's the dumbazz boat drivers. We used to tube a lot at Lake of the Ozarks and I'd get a few of my friends out boating- we'd take turns tubing and driving the boat- we made a game out of who could hang on to the tube the longest.

Some of the guys would speed the boat up to the point it was far too dangerous, and going too fast on a tube is not a good idea because the fact is- you have absolutely no control as to how you are going to land.

The dangerous thing about this tube though is that you have no idea if the tuber has fallen off. You could be driving the boat straight for awhile and nobody could see the person falling off from behind until you make a turn and see him/her bobbing in and out of the water. The other thing of course, is the fact that it rises like a balloon out of the water.

Doesn't look all that fun really- I'd rather have those smaller tubes where I could control it with every turn and wake and get some air on a good wake. I'm surprised I haven't broken my neck a few times in the past. We had fun then, but we were lucky none of us ever got seriously injured, much less killed.

Thats happened to me before, but not that high. It seemed like it was 30 feet but my dad said that I didnt really go that high. I guess it seems different when youre actually on the thing.

I dont know about you all, but if it's got the word 'kite' in it, doesnt that imply it's going to go into the air? No thanks.

damn in that video they must be going 35-40 look at the wake and the way the boat is trimmed up.

Yes, but what happens when an expected gust turns it quick - your are done for. Its like flying a plane with no rudder or tail fin, see how far you make it.

After watching the videos, it's clear the objective is to get airborne...why not just get a parachute and do it that way?

I can't count how many times I've been slung off a tube at 35. Sounds like a freak accident to me.
